PLAN PARCIAL 20 DE JULIO

Veinte de Julio - Bogotá, Colombia / 2019

El proyecto -realizado al finalizar el séptimo semestre de arquitectura (2019) para la materia "Inserción Arquitectónica Contemporaneidad y Patrimonio"- es el resultado del proceso de diseño desarrollado a lo largo del semestre, la intervención se ubicó en un contexto patrimonial de la ciudad de Bogotá, teniendo como foco de intervención el barrio Veinte de Julio y el Santuario Parroquia Divino Niño.

El lugar posee dos problemáticas sociales y arquitectónicas generadas por la implementación de dinámicas religiosas en un contexto residencial; el Santuario es un objeto patrimonial que atrae en días Domingo y festividades religiosas a foráneos y turistas religiosos que buscan sanación de algún tipo.

Al analizar las dinámicas se determina que el inconveniente se presenta ya que el espacio actual no se encuentra adecuadamente diseñado para recibir al flujo de peregrinos y comerciantes, por esto se propone un cambio sustancial del lugar por medio de un plan parcial de renovación urbana mediante el cual se rediseñe el contexto inmediato y se amplíen los espacios de culto y se articulen con usos complementarios tanto culturales y comerciales como educativos y gubernamentales.

The project - carried out at the end of the seventh semester of architecture (2019) for the subject "Inserción Arquitectónica Contemporaneidad y Patrimonio" - is the result of the design process developed throughout the semester, the intervention was located in a heritage context of the city of Bogota, having as focus of intervention the Veinte de Julio neighborhood and the Sanctuary Parroquia Divino Niño.

The place has two social and architectural problems generated by the implementation of religious dynamics in a residential context; the Sanctuary is a patrimonial object that attracts foreigners and religious tourists seeking healing of some kind on Sundays and religious festivities.

When analyzing the dynamics it is determined that the inconvenience is presented since the current space is not adequately designed to receive the flow of pilgrims and merchants, for this reason a substantial change of the place is proposed by means of a partial plan of urban renovation through which the immediate context is redesigned and the worship spaces are enlarged and articulated with complementary cultural and commercial as well as educational and governmental uses.
