Mies Van der Rohe / 1946 - 1951

En 1945 la doctora Edith Farnsworth -amante del arquitecto en la época- le encarga a Mies construir una vivienda unifamiliar en Illinois (Estados Unidos) sobre un terreno inundable, razón por la que el arquitecto decide aislarla del suelo mediante columnas.

In 1945, Dr. Edith Farnsworth -a lover of the architect at the time- commissioned Mies to build a single-family home in Illinois (United States) on a floodplain, which is why the architect decided to isolate it from the ground using columns.

The exercise -carried out in the first semester of architecture (2016) for the subject "Forma y Espacio"- consisted of making a first approach to these historical references of architecture and their contributions to the trade, which is why it was decided to develop a model that allows explore in greater depth the spaces that make up the house.
