Argentum - restaurant located in Vladivostok, Russia. Main project objective – create in Vladivostok authentic restaurant with focuse on menu where the main concept is based on Chef's skill.  Alexey Chernov – restaurant Brand-chef – considers in Vladivostok there are few restaurants, where exactly people comes for food and Argentum is one of that.

There are vinoteque in restaurant – often organized vine tastings, dinners with sommelier. Argentum owner is based his portfolio on famous Vladivostok bars, he knows a lot about good alcohol. As designers we needed to create delicate, simple space, that expressively opens the kitchen and vine. Argentum is the place for meeting of specific people group with a common value structure, interests, understanding of aesthetics. The most part of public should eventually form into a community of regular visitors.

The building where restaurant is plased was built in the era of Imperial Russia and has a centuries-old history. We sought to preserve the character of space by delicately introducing a new function. The fabric on the walls creates the right acoustic atmosphere.  The kitchen is located in an outbuilding that was built later, and thanks to the large stained-glass windows, the work of the chefs is visible from the street, being almost the main element of the restaurant’s identification. ut because of the layout of the hall kitchen is not visible, so the interaction of the chief and guests is built primarily on the dishes themselves. The interior is the place of this interaction: concrete tables with a specially selected shade and texture, textiles, general muted lighting, where the light is marked only by the tables themselves, selected dishes - all this reveals the dishes as expressively as possible.

Both the interior and exterior use naturally coloured black oxidized steel, protected against corrosion. A shipyard capable of working with large-format metal panels was used to manufacture facade panels from this steel.
