项目原场地为大理古城南端某知名集市，由于近些年的社会环境变化走向破败，本案希望通过引入新的商业与新的空间状态重新激活地块，愿景是在大理古城范围内，营造最为松弛的咖啡与酒的开放公园。

The project site is located at the southern end of a well-known market in Dali Ancient Town. Due to recent changes in the social environment, the area has fallen into disrepair. This project aims to rejuvenate the site by introducing new commercial activities and new spatial configurations, with the vision of creating the most relaxed open park for coffee and alcohol in Dali Ancient Town.

拆除了场地庭院中心原有的球形建筑，新建曲型的围合廊空间、东北角的威士忌空间、咖啡操作的亭空间以及连接并增加了原有建筑的外廊空间，空间建造的型与式统一简化，材料与基调统一压暗，场所呈现出内开外收的形态。

The original spherical building in the center of the courtyard was demolished, and new structures were built, including a curved enclosing corridor space, a whiskey space in the northeast corner, a coffee operation pavilion, and extended external corridor spaces that connect and enhance the existing buildings. The forms and styles of these new spaces are uniformly simplified, and the materials and tones are harmoniously darkened, resulting in a site that presents an inwardly open and outwardly closed form.

项目设计最初阶段，在讨论场地与大理大环境之间的相互关系上，生成了多种可能的空间结构形态，最终选择了最为简练抽象的“方与曲”做为整体的空间结构型态。“方”是可感知的有限边界，“曲”是可感知的动态边界，“方”对应的是驻足与停下，“曲”对应的是环绕与漫游。“方与曲”的空间结构从项目开始至最终呈现未曾改变。

In the initial stage of design, various possible spatial structures were explored while discussing the relationship between the site and the Dali environment. Ultimately, the most concise and abstract form, “square(fang) and curved(qu),” was chosen as the overall spatial structure. The “square(fang)” represents a perceptible finite boundary, associated with pausing and stopping, while the “curved(qu)” represents a perceptible dynamic boundary, associated with circling and roaming. This spatial structure of “square(fang) and curved(qu)” remained unchanged from the beginning of the project to its final presentation.

变与应变 Changes and Adaptation 项目施工阶段，由于地方性政策的丰富变化，使得项目的推进在不停修改与触碰边界中开展，每日不确定的施工进度与商业需要的快速推进只能在多方合力配合下焦灼前行，最终使空间呈现出一种直接的、自然的“缝补”状态。▼场地轴测，site axonometric©边缘计划建筑工作室

During the construction phase of the project, the frequent changes in local policies led to constant modifications and boundary adjustments. The uncertain daily construction progress and the rapid commercial demands required coordinated efforts from all parties, ultimately resulting in a space that embodies a direct and natural “patchwork” state.

材料上大量使用钢材，既用于结构框架也用于面层材料，以最简单直接的方式对钢板进行剪裁与拼接，保留材料的自然纹理与手工痕迹，利用废料制作大门拉手以及廊边小桌。

A large amount of steel was used in the project, both for the structural framework and as surface material. Steel plates were cut and joined in the simplest and most direct manner, preserving the natural textures and manual marks of the materials. Recycled materials were used to create door handles and small tables along the corridors.

咖啡操作区的建造选择了能灵活快速拆建的搭建方式，由固定尺寸的胶合板梁柱板件及钢连接件以铆接方式组合拼接而成。

The construction of the coffee operation area adopted a flexible and quickly assembled approach, using fixed-size laminated beams, columns, panels, and steel connectors, all riveted together.

融合

Integration

场地的“大”对应于大理古城日益饱满商业空间的“小”，以一种场所的松弛感激发人们对大理古城的新感知。作为开放“公园”，场所接纳不同事物的容纳度很高，这里户外家具可以灵活布置，可以举办各种大小活动，动、静皆可，从早到晚可以享受一天的平躺状态。

The expansive nature of the site contrasts with the increasingly saturated commercial spaces of Dali Ancient Town, aiming to evoke a sense of relaxation that inspires new perceptions of the area. As an open “park,” the site has a high capacity for accommodating diverse elements. Outdoor furniture can be arranged flexibly, and the space can host various activities, both large and small. It caters to both dynamic and static uses, allowing visitors to enjoy a full day of leisurely relaxation from morning until night.
