The Greens brand is not just a place with healthy food, but also a community. It was crucial to show the brand’s connection with people by creating a character. The main character became a guy interested in vintage style and retro aesthetics, who plays basketball and appreciates quality and comfort.

The primary references for creating the design space were outfits from fashion brands. How might this guy look, what would he wear, and what items would he collect? Using Hans Gugelot’s record player as a starting point, ceiling and wall panels with perforations were created. The warm metal hue evokes the retro aesthetics of various household items in characteristic creamy colors.

The central element of the space is a boucle sofa, which color-coordinates with the café’s main product—green food. The choice of boucle upholstery is intentional—it’s a soft, tactile material reminiscent of a beloved fleece jacket that the main character of The Greens wears all the time: at home and on the way to the gym. The fabric was custom-developed to create stripes that perfectly reflect the desired aesthetic. These stripes simultaneously recall both the side stripes on pants and a classic, strict pattern.

Below the sofas, you can notice straps with The Greens’ branding, which provide access to storage areas inside the benches. The straps are reminiscent of the tags on the inside of clothing that indicate the brand of the manufacturer. This small element sets The Greens apart from typical dining establishments, forming a community with a specific aesthetic.

The table and chair system is designed in such a way that the seating capacity can be increased from 4 to 6 people.
