The library is a temple of knowledge. There are more than 300 monuments of temple architecture in Kargopol and its surroundings. Wooden churches of the Russian North are a calling card of the whole region. Unfortunately, every year they become fewer and fewer. The shape of arches of Kargopol churches is reflected in the interior of the library - for example, in the framing of window apertures. The colour scheme of upholstered furniture and other interior details refer to the interior paintings of Kargopol churches. In addition to the temple architecture, the interior of the library also evokes the architecture of the city in general - for example, it can be traced in the form of poufs. The book shelves are made of wood, a traditional material for the temple architecture of Kargopol.
