The House in Bashkiria stands as a testament to modern architecture, reflecting the natural beauty of its surroundings. Designed by Lily Kaisarova and completed in 2023, this house covers an area of 260 square meters (~2800 square feet). The project transformed an empty concrete shell into a warm, inviting home that integrates natural elements from Bashkortostan, often referred to as the “Second Switzerland.”

Ground Floor Design

The ground floor accommodates a young couple while allowing space for gatherings. A 6-meter window illuminates a designated reading area, complete with a comfortable armchair, contemporary bookshelves, and a grand piano. The tranquil ambiance promotes creativity and relaxation, enhanced by a miniature garden featuring exotic cacti and succulents.

The stunning staircase acts as both a functional element and a social gathering space for musical performances. Featuring underfloor heating, it provides comfort during chilly evenings, while the surrounding natural parquet flooring adds warmth. The designer drew inspiration from Bashkortostan’s rocky terrain, incorporating a striking architectural concrete wall as a central feature.

The kitchen, redesigned from the previous terrace, features two large windows and a separate entrance to the summer terrace.
