Designed by architect John Comparelli and nestling under the tree canopy on the edge of a wood, this low profile, timber clad pool house is intended to have minimal impact on the surroundings and the Grade II listed house which it faces.
On a gently sloping site, the pool area has been terraced into the landscape such that the pool cannot be seen from either the gardens or the ground floor of the house. Matching the construction of the house, the two terrace retaining walls and the pool house plinth are of local stone, while the raised bed vegetable garden along one side of the pool has been incorporated as an integral part of the terrace design.
The pool house interior is by Lucy Elworthy Interiors and includes a very comfortable lounge area and a small kitchenette overlooking the pool.
