They are going to be bailed out by their parents. Sophie, a computer systems consultant, has a partner Jack (31), a private trainer, and they have a young son Tristan (2) and a baby daughter Tracey (3 months). Richard is overseas working in Singapore as a qualify ed engineer and returns to visit New Zealand often and Mark is still at university doing an arts degree majoring in English and lives with his parents because it is too expensive to go flatting with his student colleagues. Further Jim and Cheryl’s parents from the Hawkes Bay and the King Country respectively want to visit family and enjoy the urbanity of Auckland three or four times a year. but are finding that difficult without Jim and Cheryl as a base in Auckland, but contribute with frozen farm produce
