Bohemian interior design style
What is bohemian style?
The name comes from the word Bohemia, a region of the same name in the Czech Republic(is a country in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east, and Poland to the northeast.), where many gypsies used to live. Therefore, this style is so similar to the image of this people. It is bright, slightly wild, impermanent, creative and as free as possible. The style has some feature classic, glamour and eco style
Materials and Finishes
The coziness in boho room is mainly created by textile accessories: heavy curtains, cushions, wide blankets, soft poufs.
Feel free to mix patterns and textures, and do not be afraid to use styles that would not necessarily go together in a conventional way.
Furniture style
Bohemian furniture usually is not found in a store. These rooms tend to be filled with furniture collected over time, so second-hand and vintage items are right at home here. Each piece of furniture should be special and tell a story.
BOTANICALS
Botanicals fit perfectly with bohemian style as plants are an affordable and easy to source method in creating a relaxed vibe while adding dimension to a room. Plants also do double duty of purifying air while adding a pop of color without interfering too much with the rest of your design and confusing the eye.
Patterns
From contrasting patterned rugs, to colorful cushions and throws, injecting various pattern is key here.
Choose a selection of hues you can keep coming back to and that you can keep present with all of your elements – especially in darker, more luxurious colors like burgundy, emerald green, or a deep purple.
Colors
Interiors in the style of boho chic does not have a specific color scheme. The most common warm earth (brown, terracotta) and metallic colors. But exactly vintage and hand-made things will fit into it most organically.
Embrace the handmade
handmade items are a perfect component. Really, no two handmade items are alike. Whether the handmade comes in the form of textiles, a braided rug (photo), a sculpture, or an oil painting on the wall, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that the feeling of individuality supersedes any prior notions of decorating dos and don’ts.
