汉朔科技是专注于智能 IoT 硬件和行业数字化解决方案的国际化企业。我们于 2023 年中受汉朔邀请,改造其位于嘉兴的总部基地。如何用建筑语言表达一家科技企业的特点成为项目的核心诉求。
Hanshow is an international enterprise specializing in intelligent IoT hardware and digital solutions. We were invited by Hanshow to renovate its Jiaxing headquarters in Mid-2023. How to express the characteristics of a technology enterprise in architectural language has become the core issue of the project.

改造前的厂房基于一种典型的通用性设计,平面由标准柱网提供宽广的生产空间,立面则主要在黄蓝相间的涂料墙面上随机设置竖向条窗,以满足排烟、通风及消防救援的需求。厂房外观很难满足汉朔的诉求,一方面从功能上不完全适配洁净厂房标准,另一方面从形象上也无法满足一家跨国科技企业的定位。

The original factory building was based on a typical universal design, with a standard column grid providing ample production space. The vertical windows randomly set on the yellow and blue painted walls on the facade meet the needs of smoke exhaust, ventilation, and fire rescue. However, the appearance of the factory is difficult to meet Hanshow’s demands. On one hand, it does not fully adapt to the standards of clean workshops in terms of functionality. On the other hand, it cannot meet the positioning of an international technology enterprise in terms of corporate image.

01.金属盒子——城市的庞然大物
Metal Box – The Giant of the City
“设计”是汉朔的重要企业文化。当对于智能硬件的工业设计要求延伸至建筑设计时,不同尺度下的细节把控是汉朔极为关心的议题。因此,我们组建了与汉朔工业设计部门紧密融合的团队,共同推进嘉兴总部的改造项目。
Design is the key culture of Hanshow. When the industrial design requirements for intelligent hardware extend to architecture, the control of details at different scales is an important issue for Hanshow. Therefore, we have formed a team closely integrated with Hanshow industrial design department to promote the renovation project of Jiaxing headquarters.

基于汉朔一以贯之的产品风格,“金属盒子”的概念被提出,尝试用纯粹的金属材料来包裹原厂房,并通过形体与材料的组合来隐藏混杂的屋面机房,呈现出一种简洁的科技感。“金属盒子”自身的巨大尺度带来了城市界面的标志性。
Based on Hanshow’s consistent product style, the concept of “Metal Box” was proposed, attempting to wrap the original factory with pure metal materials and hide the disordered roof MEP room through a combination of form and material, presenting a simple sense of technology. The enormous scale of the “Metal Box” itself has brought iconic features to the urban interface.

原厂房以标准柱网形成约 200*80 米的宽广平面,以及四层高的尺度。基于厂房功能布局、交通疏散及机电设备的一系列要求,平面外围分散设置了六组核心筒,并在屋面形成缺乏组织的六组机房。“金属盒子”由三种盒子组合而成:7.5 米高的厂房首层形成落在地面的第一种盒子,深灰色材质有助于消隐大量的门窗洞口,并营造大尺度厂房的轻盈感;厂房上部由两种盒子组合,平板盒子与屋面机房顶部同高,消隐机房的同时化解超长的尺度;平板盒子之间选择了弧面穿孔金属板来打造第三种盒子,材料自然形成的细腻尺度进一步带来丰富的细节。
The original factory is designed with a standard column grid to form a wide space of approximately 200*80 meters and a four-story high scale. Based on the functional layout, evacuation, and MEP requirements, six sets of cores are scattered around the edge of the plan, leading to an unorganized layout on the roof. The “Metal Box” is composed of three types of boxes. The 7.5-meter-high first box type stands on the ground floor, and its dark gray material helps to conceal a large number of openings and create a sense of lightness for large-scale factory. The upper part of the factory is composed of two types. The flat box is designed with the same height of the core parapet, which not only hides the chaotic roof, but also resolves the excessive length. A curved perforated metal plate was chosen between the flat boxes to create the third box type, and the delicate scale naturally formed by the material further brings details.

02.金属融合——材料的平衡
Metal Fusion – Balance of Materials
用什么材料来实现“金属盒子”的简洁形体是与汉朔团队及施工方探讨多轮的问题。产业链成熟且造价可控的金属材料主要是铝板与钢板。弧面穿孔金属板几乎没有太多的选择空间,铝单板很快被确定下来,除了穿孔率跟排烟效率的比选之外,最重要的细节控制在于取消弧形折边,改为开放收边以追求更挺括的拼缝。
The selection of materials to achieve a concise metal box has been discussed with Hanshow and the construction team by many times. The possible metal materials with mature industrial chain and controllable cost are mainly aluminum and steel plates. Aluminum is almost the unique choice for perforated metal plates with curved surfaces. Apart from the comparison of perforation rate and smoke exhaust efficiency, the most important detail control we did is to replace the curved edge folding with an open edge to get a more rigid joint.

平板盒子区域则是讨论的焦点。采用钢板的话,可选择的工业化产品主要是夹芯钢板,其优势是造价较低,保证平整度的同时可以实现超大板幅;但在处理开启扇等小尺度交接节点上比较复杂,企口组装的标准件需要进行特殊处理,原板钢卷的订购也需要提前计划时间,同时颜色及质感的选择相对受限。铝板产品同样也相当成熟,市场化程度很高,质感选择范围极大,消隐处理开启扇和处理精细折边细节等也得心应手,但保证大板幅的平整度则需要付出一些成本,同时也是一种极高碳排放的材料。
The flat box area is in the spotlight. If steel is picked, the most potential industrial products are sandwich steel plates, which have the advantages of low cost, flatness in super large size. However, handling small-scale details such as openings is quite complex, and the ordering of raw steel coils also needs to be planned in advance. Also, the choice of color and texture is relatively limited. Aluminum plate products are also quite mature, with a high degree of marketization and a wide range of texture options. It’s also easy to deal with openings and edge folding details. However, ensuring the flatness in large plate size requires higher cost, and it is also a material with extremely high carbon emissions.

围绕供货周期、造价和开启扇细节的讨论在我们与汉朔、施工方之间反复多次。夹芯钢板因其平整度及造价的优势,具备更好的落地性,但如何在保持高性价比的条件下完成开启扇的细节,的确面临很大的不确定性。过程中曾一度希望用铝板来做开启扇,但与钢板之间无法调和的材料色差难以解决。随着交付时间的临近,我们总算在长三角区域找到一个工厂,可以提供一种工艺来完成原板钢卷与基层材料的复合,实现具备刚度的大板幅开启扇。同时钢板厂家也与我们一起顺利研究出企口板如何封边,以实现开启扇无框的做法。至此才终于进入下料施工的环节。
After many rounds of discussions with Hanshow and the construction team regarding the supply cycle, cost, and details of opening, sandwich steel plates have larger potential due to their advantages in flatness guarantee and cost control. However, there also exists uncertainty in how to complete the proper detail of openings while maintaining high cost-effectiveness. During the process, aluminum plates were once the possible solution to make the openings, but the color difference that cannot be reconciled with steel plates is almost impossible to solve. As the delivery time approaches, we have finally found a factory in the Yangtze River Delta region that can provide a technique to complete the composite of raw steel coils and base materials, achieving a rigid large plate for the openings. At the same time, the steel plate manufacturer has also successfully come up with a solution with us to seal the edges of the matchboard to achieve frameless appearence. At this point, we finally entered the process of material production and construction.

03.金属实验——从极大尺度到极小尺度
Metal Experiment – From Extremely Large Scale to Extremely Small Scale
以夹芯钢板作为立面主材得以实现简洁、少缝的“金属盒子”,但要实现阴刻的立面 logo 着实没有铝单板简单。基于原板钢卷与基层材料的复合技术,我们说服厂家尝试在常规 logo 字盒的表面复合一层钢板来实现阴刻效果,同时伴随着辊涂钢板的开放边缘防锈、字盒内部排水等一系列不常规操作。

Using sandwich steel plates as the main material for the facade can achieve a simple and seamless “Metal Box”, but realizing an intaglio logo is not as simple as aluminum. Based on the composite technology, we convinced the manufacturer to try to composite a layer of steel plate on the conventional logo box to achieve the etching effect, of course, accompanied by a series of unconventional treatments such as edge rust prevention and internal drainage of the logo box.

为了保证金属盒子的平整外观,除了阴刻 logo 外,我们还实验了变形缝的新做法、用轻巧的钢楼梯替代原机房混凝土楼梯、调整电梯面板位置等等做法,但原本悬在金属盒子之外的轻薄雨棚设计因种种原因无法实现,不过仍在各方支持下交付了合理恰当的设计成果。
To ensure the flat surface of the metal box, in addition to the intaglio logo, we also experimented with new solutions of deformation joints, replacing the original concrete staircase with light steel design, adjusting the position of elevator control panel, etc. However, the original design of a light canopy hanging outside the metal box could not be realized due to various reasons. Nevertheless, with the support of all parties, we still delivered a reasonable and appropriate design.

从城市巨物到微小细节,各层级尺度基于材料特点和做法得到设计上的控制,依靠各方共同的价值观实现一次有意义的金属实验。
Proper design control of various scale levels is achieved based on material characteristics and treatments from urban giant to small detail. Relying on the shared values from all parties, we’ve finally realized a meaningful metal experiment.
