DESIGN CONCEPT

Creating a Visual Environment

The design concept focuses on enhancing the visual environment by incorporating natural elements such as ample natural light and nature views through windows. Additionally, the use of green roofs, a new technology in green building, involves a vegetative layer that cools the surface and reduces heat through evapotranspiration, thereby reducing the temperature of the roof and surrounding air. A semi-interior courtyard, defined by walls, promotes natural light and air from the outdoors into the center of the hospital building, filtering sunlight into areas that may not otherwise have natural light.

Ensuring Safety

The design concept also emphasizes safety, including air quality and ventilation, easy-to-clean surfaces, and staff's visual access to patients.

Facilitating Wayfinding

To further enhance the user experience, the design concept includes features that facilitate wayfinding, such as clear building entrances, signage, and floor plans.
