Jac's on Bond 酒吧丨GACHOT

26 Bond St is a landmark 1830s townhouse with a storied past, complete with extreme wealth, poverty, a variety of commerce, hooligans, burglary, gambling, and protests.

The design of Jac’s On Bond took a nod from 90s New York bars like Café Tabac and Pravda. A new neighborhood favorite, the bar is authentic and warm, as well as dark and glowy. With minimal signage, it’s not screaming for attention, but it’s the spot where everyone wants to be.

酒吧采用中性色调--木地板、乳白色石灰粉刷墙壁、炭灰色缎面手工刷漆墙裙。乳白色的高光漆覆盖着天花板，天花板上基本上没有照明设备。除了楼梯口的丝绸吊灯外，墙壁上的壁灯、桌子上和吧台上的台灯和装饰灯为整个空间提供了充足的照明。低调的灯光妩媚而性感。

The palette is neutral – wood floors, creamy white limewash painted walls above charcoal satin hand brushed painted wainscot. Creamy white high gloss paint covers the ceiling, which remains largely free of lighting. Aside from a silk pendant at the stair, the space is mostly lit from sconces washing the walls and lamps and votives glowing on tables and bar tops. The low-level lighting is flattering and sexy.

Iconic images of hip-hop artists by acclaimed photographer Janette Beckman adorn the walls throughout the space, bringing back the energy and coolness of the 80s and 90s New York music scene. Barrel chairs and dining chairs surround deep terracotta back-painted glass tabletops at the front, next to a dark bar with a stone top and ebonized oak bar die. Warm mahogany-tone trim and aged brass detail the back bar. Bottles sit atop milk glass shelves in front of a bronze tinted mirror set within an arched niche.

Stone walls were preserved throughout, adding texture to the space. The original fireplace boxes also remain. The charcoal tone wainscot wraps the bathroom walls, above which Stone Plume wallpaper by Rule of Three Studio covers the walls and ceiling. The bathroom floor is tiled in a charcoal and ivory checker pattern of cement tile.
