Science Festivity Pavilion Design
© Planetarium Science Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
This project is a conceptual design for the "Science Festivity", an annual public event organized by the Planetarium Science Center at the Bibliotheca of Alexandrina. The theme of this year’s festivity is "Science in Ancient Egypt," inspiring the spatial design and exhibit flow.
The pavilion consists of four tents, each named after iconic ancient Egyptian locations
1- Abu Simbel Tent: Serving as the grand entrance to the festivity, this tent mirrors the awe-inspiring nature of the temple of Abu Simbel, complete with replicas of its colossal statues, inviting visitors into the world of ancient Egyptian science.
2- Philae Tent: Inspired by the island temple, this tent focuses on exploration and discovery, serving as an interactive learning space.
4- Mummification Tent: A specialized tent designed to immerse visitors in the scientific methods behind mummification and the preservation of knowledge and the body in ancient Egypt.
Each tent serves a specific theme, ensuring that visitors can engage with the content in a logical and captivating flow. This modular setup allows for both interactive and educational displays.
The grand entrance to the pavilion takes its inspiration from the Abu Simbel temple, setting the tone with a historically accurate façade that celebrates Egypt’s heritage.

Stage for Science Shows: A central stage is designed for interactive science shows, enabling dynamic, interactive presentations where the history and science of ancient Egypt come to life through performances and demonstrations.
Entrance and Exit Gates: The flow of the space is carefully crafted with designated entrance and exit gates to manage visitor movement efficiently while enhancing the overall experience.
