Henning Larsen has broadened its focus on data-based design decisions, publishing new insights into the carbon emissions of building materials, designed specifically for architects and designers.

为应对建筑行业对气候行动的迫切需求，Henning Larsen于2021年推出了《Unboxing Carbon》碳素养方针，旨在为设计师提供建筑材料环境影响的核心知识。这一举措促成了2022年首版外部建筑材料《Unboxing Carbon Catalog（碳排放目录）》的发布。如今，《Unboxing Carbon》已扩展为两个综合目录 —— 分别针对室内材料和更新后的外部建筑材料。

In response to the urgent need for climate action within the construction industry, Henning Larsen launched Unboxing Carbon in 2021 as a carbon literacy course to equip designers with essential knowledge on the environmental impact of construction materials. This initiative led to the release of the first Unboxing Carbon Catalog for exterior construction materials in 2022. Now, Unboxing Carbon has expanded to two comprehensive catalogs—one dedicated to interior materials and an updated edition for exterior materials.

这些目录是《Unboxing Carbon》课程期间通过研讨会总结的，由项目成立以来超过1000名参与者提供的数据支撑，并经由Henning Larsen进行了质量把控。数据包括全球变暖潜力（GWP）等关键指标，来源于环境产品声明（EPDs），为建筑师提供了在碳排放基础上做出更明智设计决策的实用工具。

The catalogs are the result of workshops conducted during the Unboxing Carbon course using data generated by contributions from over 1000 participants since the program’s inception. Quality-controlled by Henning Larsen, the data includes accessible metrics like Global Warming Potential (GWP), sourced from Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). The catalogs provide architects with a practical tool for making better informed design decisions based on carbon calculations.

扩展后的资源旨在全面展示内外部材料的环境影响，为行业提供降低碳足迹的必要信息。

These expanded resources aim to offer a more holistic understanding of the environmental impact of both interior and exterior materials,equipping professionals with the information they need to lower the industry’s carbon footprint.

The data is sourced from Environmental Product Declarations,organized by category, and broken down to an easily understandable unit, per square meter. 全新的《Unboxing Carbon – 室内材料目录》包含：墙板、墙体系统、室内覆层、瓷砖、台面和其他室内饰面的详细数据。外部材料目录的更新版本则涵盖更广泛的材料，包括：屋面、隔热材料，并提供最新的数据，反映材料制造和环境政策的最新进展。

The newly available Unboxing Carbon – Interior Material Catalog includes detailed insights on materials such as wallboards, system walls, interior cladding, tiles, countertops, and interior finishes. The updated edition of the exterior materials catalog features a wider range of materials, now including roofing, insulation and refreshed data points, reflecting the latest developments in material manufacturing and environmental policies.

Both the interior and exterior catalogs are now available for download, offering the industry an essential tool for advancing sustainability in design.
