柏泉茅庙集古镇位于武汉东西湖区，是武汉市近郊西大门、环府河生态廊道上，山清水秀、地杰人灵。早在殷商时期，其作为与盘龙城隔河相望的姊妹城，就呈现出“万商毕集”的辉煌图景。2022 年茅庙集获得“湖北省旅游休闲街区”称号，为进一步彰显地域文化，按照创建武汉市全域旅游样板的总体要求，依托湿地生态游、古韵文化游、休闲农业游、产业研学游，将茅庙集打造为“都市乡村田园，千年古韵柏泉”的门户。

Baiquan Maomiaoji Ancient Town is located in Dongxihu District, Wuhan. It is the western gate of the suburbs of Wuhan and situated on the ecological corridor of the Huanfu River. The town boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters, and is blessed with beautiful scenery and people. As early as the Yin and Shang dynasties, as a sister city facing Panlong City across the river, it presented a magnificent scene of “gathering all merchants”. In 2022, Maomiaoji was awarded the title of “Hubei Province Tourism and Leisure Block”. In order to further showcase regional culture and in accordance with the overall requirements of creating a model of comprehensive tourism in Wuhan, relying on wetland ecological tourism, ancient cultural tourism, leisure agriculture tourism, and industrial research and learning tourism, Maomiaoji will be built into a gateway to “urban and rural countryside countryside, millennium ancient charm of Baiquan”.

现状分析 设计理念

项目主要围绕镇旧粮油站院子展开，柏泉茅庙集镇隶属武汉市东西湖区。在历史上，东西湖区曾经是一片水乡泽国，经过数十年的围垦和开发成为全国知名的农垦大区和农业强区。老粮油站见证了东西湖区从荒湖到良田、从国营农场到现代城镇的转变，不仅承载着丰富的历史文化价值，也是当地从农业到工业发展和城市化进程的重要标志。

The project mainly revolves around the courtyard of the old grain and oil station in the town. Baiquan Maomiao Market Town is under the jurisdiction of Dongxihu District in Wuhan City. In history, Dongxihu District was once a water town in Zeguo. After decades of reclamation and development, it has become a well-known agricultural reclamation area and strong agricultural region in China. The Old Grain and Oil Station witnessed the transformation of Dongxihu District from a barren lake to fertile land, and from a state-owned farm to a modern town. Not only does it carry rich historical and cultural value, but it is also an important symbol of the local development from agriculture to industry and urbanization process.

仓库主楼大厂房现状情况较好，建筑是砖砌体，屋顶为大跨度混凝土筒形拱顶结构，体现了八十年代粮油站的特征。院内其他建筑均为砖混木梁架的小库房，经过历年改建私搭，结构破坏严重，鉴定为危楼，亟待整体改造更新。

The current situation of the main building of the warehouse and the large factory building is good. The building is made of brick masonry, and the roof is a large-span concrete cylindrical arch structure, reflecting the characteristics of the grain and oil station in the 1980s. Other buildings in the courtyard are small warehouses with brick and concrete wooden beams. After years of renovation and private construction, the structure has been severely damaged and identified as a dangerous building, which urgently needs to be renovated and updated as a whole.

项目规划定位为“柏泉古镇传统文化集中展示地和综合服务中心”，主要是为游客提供综合服务的公共空间。利用原粮油站院落，结合北侧原老年大学与剧场，打造集游客服务、地域文化展示、非遗文化表演、青少年科普研学等多功能的服务核心，集中展示柏泉地域文化。

The project is planned to be positioned as a “concentrated display area and comprehensive service center for traditional culture in Baiquan Ancient Town”, mainly providing a public space with comprehensive services for tourists. By utilizing the courtyard of the original grain and oil station, combined with the original senior college and theater on the north side, a multi-functional service core will be created that integrates tourist services, regional cultural exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage performances, and youth science popularization research, showcasing the Baiquan regional culture in a concentrated manner.

旧粮油站作为乡村工业的一部分，承载着乡村工业化的历史和文化，是乡村工业发展历程的集体记忆。旧粮油站的改造和再利用也可以成为乡村振兴战略的一部分，通过创新的方式，将其转变为文化教育基地、文旅综合服务中心，以此促进当地经济的发展和文化的传承。

As a part of rural industry, the old grain and oil station carries the history and culture of rural industrialization. They are the collective memory of the development process of rural industry. The renovation and reuse of old grain and oil stations can also become part of the rural revitalization strategy, by innovatively transforming them into cultural and educational bases, cultural and tourism comprehensive service centers, in order to promote local economic development and cultural inheritance.

主楼门口的旧“龙门吊”，在当时起到搬运粮食起重作用，很能反映当时的规模与生产特点。我们决定保留下来，并通过连廊的巧妙设计，增强游客多维度、近距离的体验感。

The old “gantry crane” at the entrance of the main building played a role in transporting grain and lifting at that time, which can reflect the scale and production characteristics of that time. We have decided to preserve it and enhance the multi-dimensional and close-up experience for tourists through the clever design of the connecting corridor.

延续格局 与古为新

Continuing the pattern and transforming the past into the new

设计保存延续原有规划格局与城镇肌理，对老粮油站院落进行活化改建，保留了主楼厂房，通过结构加固、增加室内局部二层的观展动线，将其改造为多功能主展厅。同时利用连廊将其余各栋建筑连通，形成两层丰富的洄游路线，在这个新的院落空间里，游客或乡亲不仅能方便的参观、休憩，也能漫步到二层平台，看到独特的院落风景。

The design preserves and continues the original planning pattern and urban texture, revitalizes and renovates the courtyard of the old grain and oil station, preserves the main building, and transforms it into a multifunctional main exhibition hall through structural reinforcement and the addition of a second floor indoor viewing route. At the same time, the remaining buildings are connected by corridors, forming a two-story rich migration route. In this new courtyard space, tourists or villagers can not only conveniently visit and relax, but also stroll to the second floor platform and see the unique courtyard scenery.

拆除原粮油站和老年大学之间隔墙，将两个场地连接为一体，重置场地景观，重新梳理两个院落关系、组织参观流线。整体作为综合服务中心接待游客、乡民与组织青少年研学使用。主入口门廊，采用了传统风格的现代演绎，现代装配式木结构屋顶，将高低两栋单体建筑不拘一格流畅的连为一体，创造出一系列优美实用的檐下空间，给本地居民和游客提供了一处高品质的公共休闲场所。

Dismantle the partition wall between the original grain and oil station and the senior college, connect the two sites into one, reset the site landscape, reorganize the relationship between the two courtyards, and organize the flow of visitors. As a comprehensive service center, it is used to receive tourists, villagers, and organize youth study tours. The main entrance porch adopts a modern interpretation of traditional style, with a modern prefabricated wooden roof that seamlessly connects the high and low individual buildings, creating a series of beautiful and practical eaves spaces, providing a high-quality public leisure place for local residents and tourists.

Material & structure

装配式木结构在实现复杂流线型坡屋顶方面具有独特的优势。通过预制和装配的方式，木结构部品构件可以快速组装，形成具有流线型坡度的屋顶结构。这种结构不仅能够满足建筑的美学要求，还能提供良好的结构性能和环保特性。

Prefabricated wooden structures have unique advantages in achieving complex streamlined sloping roofs. Through prefabrication and assembly, wooden structural components can be quickly assembled to form a roof structure with streamlined slopes. This structure not only meets the aesthetic requirements of architecture, but also provides good structural performance and environmental characteristics.

在设计和施工过程中，采用现代胶合木工艺和先进的木材防腐处理技术，确保木结构即使在潮湿或高盐的环境中也能保持稳定性和耐久性。通过合理的设计和施工，可以创造出既美观又实用的建筑形态，满足不同的功能和美学需求。同时，装配式木结构的环保性能和节能保温性能也使其成为现代绿色建筑的理想选择，展示了木结构在现代建筑中的应用潜力。

In the design and construction process, modern laminated wood technology and advanced wood anti-corrosion treatment technology are adopted to ensure that the wooden structure can maintain stability and durability even in humid or high salt environments. Through reasonable design and construction, it is possible to create architectural forms that are both beautiful and practical, meeting different functional and aesthetic needs. At the same time, the environmental performance and energy-saving insulation performance of prefabricated wooden structures also make them an ideal choice for modern green buildings. This demonstrates the potential application of wooden structures in modern architecture.

连廊贯穿整个南侧院落，链接所有单体建筑。连廊与各单体建筑结合形成了有遮蔽的入口空间，加强了建筑和景观的渗透与联系。连廊不仅是各建筑联系的纽带，也是承载公共活动的连续空间。

The corridor runs through the entire south courtyard and connects all individual buildings. The combination of corridors and individual buildings forms a sheltered entrance space, enhancing the penetration and connection between the building and the landscape. The corridor is not only a link between various buildings, but also a continuous space that carries public activities.

多功能市集活动廊亭（乡贤聚客厅），也是采用装配式木结构建造，突破了传统木结构跨度较小的束缚，既获得了舒适的檐下大空间，又保留了木结构的温润质感。建成后的乡贤聚客厅举办了多场乡村民俗和亲子研学活动。

The multifunctional market activity corridor pavilion (Xiangxianju living room) is also constructed using prefabricated wooden structures, breaking through the limitations of traditional wooden structures with small spans. It not only provides a comfortable large space under the eaves, but also retains the warm texture of the wooden structure. After completion, the Xiangxian Gathering Living Room held multiple rural folk customs and parent-child study activities.

研学亲子活动空间 Study and Parent Child Activity Space

粮油站是粮食从农业生产者到消费者手中的重要中转站。它们负责从农民手中收购粮食，然后将其储存、加工和分配给市场或直接供应给消费者。粮油站是农业产品向工业产品转化的重要环节，作为特定历史时期的工业遗产，承载着丰富的历史和文化信息，是教育和研究的宝贵资源。随着时间的推移，一些旧粮油站在完成其历史使命后，可以改造为博物馆、文化中心或其他公共空间，以此存续粮油站相关的历史文化。这样的场所空间对青少年具有多方面的潜在教育价值。因此在改造设计时，功能上配置了符合青少年研学运营的科普展示、教学体验及配套空间。不仅能够为青少年提供丰富的教育资源，同时也为当地社区提供新的功能和服务。

Grain and oil stations are important transit stations for grain from agricultural producers to consumers. They are responsible for purchasing food from farmers, storing, processing, and distributing it to the market or directly supplying it to consumers. Grain and oil stations are an important link in the transformation of agricultural products into industrial products. As an industrial heritage of a specific historical period, they carry rich historical and cultural information and are valuable resources for education and research. Over time, some old grain and oil stations can be transformed into museums, cultural centers, or other public spaces after completing their historical missions, in order to preserve the historical and cultural significance of the grain and oil stations. Such spaces have multiple potential educational values for young people. Therefore, during the renovation design, science popularization exhibitions, teaching experiences, and supporting spaces that are suitable for the operation of youth study were configured in terms of functionality. Not only can it provide rich educational resources for teenagers, but it also offers new functions and services for the local community.

《从农业到工业、从一粒米到一碗饭》，我们策划了一系列研学活动，让城里的孩子与乡村的孩子一起搭建现代榫卯积木，一起创造。旧粮油站凝聚着工匠精神和工业文化，通过实地参观和学习，青少年可以体会到执着专注、精益求精的工匠精神，以及自力更生、艰苦奋斗的劳动精神。还能够帮助他们建立起对历史、文化、科技和社会责任感的全面认识。

From agriculture to industry, from a grain of rice to a bowl of rice, we have planned a series of educational activities, allowing urban and rural children to build modern mortise and tenon blocks together and create together. The old grain and oil station embodies the spirit of craftsmanship and industrial culture. Through on-site visits and learning, young people can experience the craftsmanship spirit of persistence, focus, and excellence, as well as the labor spirit of self-reliance and hard work. It can also help them establish a comprehensive understanding of history, culture, technology, and social responsibility.

综上，本项目对旧粮油站整体环境的改造再利用，不仅有助于保护和传承乡村工业文化遗产，还可以作为教育和文化活动的空间，为当地社区带来经济和社会效益。挖掘文化内涵，讲述粮食的历史和文化，这样的改造既保留了历史遗迹，又赋予了它们新的生命和功能。是传承也是创新，是乡镇从农业到工业社会的一种新“乡愁”。

In summary, the renovation and reuse of the overall environment of the old grain and oil station in this project not only helps to protect and inherit rural industrial cultural heritage, but also serves as a space for education and cultural activities, bringing economic and social benefits to the local community. Digging into cultural connotations and narrating the history and culture of food, this transformation not only preserves historical relics, but also endows them with new life and functions. It is both inheritance and innovation, a new “nostalgia” for towns and villages from agriculture to industrial society.
