安徽省美术馆位于安徽省合肥市巢湖畔滨湖新区主轴线旁,是一座以观众为中心,将美术展览,美术研究,学术会议集合为一体的现代化美术馆。
Located along the main axis of the Binhu District by Chaohu Lake in Hefei, Anhui Province, the Anhui Art Museum is a modern, audience-oriented gallery that integrates art exhibitions, art research, and academic conferences.

建筑概念
Concept
山水代表了中国人的一种向往和意境,而画卷则独具人文色彩。“山水之乐,得之心而寓之‘丹青’也。” 中国美术、文士情怀,寓情于丹青之中,长卷描摹山水,格局严整而潇洒写意、宁静致远。从万壑争奇的徽州山脉,粉墙黛瓦的徽州民居提炼而来,建筑以 “山水画卷”为设计概念。回归安徽自身的美,回归人文色彩浓烈的美,回归中国味道极浓的美。

“Shanshui” Natural Landscapes represent a unique aspiration and artistic conception of Chinese people, while painting scrolls embody a unique cultural taste. “The joy of landscapes is found in the heart and expressed through ‘danqing’ .” Chinese arts and the spirit of literati are imbued in the paintings,where the landscapes are portrayed in a long scroll composition that is rigorous yet free-spirited style, conveying a sense of tranquility and profoundness. Inspired from the stunning mountains and iconic white-walled, black-tiled houses of Huizhou, the building adopts the concept of “Shanshui painting” as its design foundation. It returns to the beauty of Anhui itself, the beauty rich of humanistic touch, and the beauty deeply infused with the cream of the Chinese culture.

Planning
一个100米见方的正方形构成了美术馆的主体部分。主体建筑布置平行于滨湖大道,与西侧的科技馆相对而建,寓意着艺术与科学的对话。

A Cube of with 100 meters on each side forms the main body of the art museum. The main building is parallel withthe Binhu Avenue, facing the Science and Technology Museum on the west, symbolizing the dialogue between art and science.

主建筑北侧平行市政道路布置半地下停车库,东侧散布两个灵动的小盒子,分而不散,整体控制异形场地,同时在构图上与北侧名人馆轴线形成自然转折。
The main building has a semi-underground parking area in parallel with the municipal road on the north. On the east side, two scattering tiny volumes, ethereally control the irregular site as a whole, while forming a natural transition from the axis of the Celebrity Hall on the north.

一大带两小的几何体量与丰富的半地下空间组合,形成若干个变化各异的景观院落,继而呈现出对中国传统园林空间的现代美学演绎。
The three volumes(A large entity with two smaller ones) –along with a rich combination of the semi-underground space, shape various courtyards with changing landscape, thereby presenting a modern aesthetic interpretation of traditional Chinese garden.

Plan
为满足收藏、研究、展览、教育、交流、服务6大功能,美术馆分为业务技术、展览、艺术MALL三大主要功能区。

In order to accommodate the six major programs—Collection, Research, Exhibition, Education, Exchange, and Service, the art museum is divided into three main zones: Business and Technical Zone, Exhibition Zone, and the Art MALL.

业务技术区:容纳了文艺创作及文物保护相关若干单位的业务办公用房。
The Business and Technical Zone provides offices for departments related to literary and artistic creation as well as the cultural relics conservation.

展览区:面向巢湖的27米通高共享大厅将四层展厅联系在一起,观众通过设于展厅和共享大厅之间的坡道和跨越70米的无柱吊桥漫游至各层观展。展厅两端设有供观众休息的小型交流空间,此处的螺旋楼梯成为空间中的视觉焦点。展厅屋面被打造成为一处可眺望巢湖的观景花园,同时也成为整个观展路线中最后的高潮所在。
The Exhibition Zone: A 27-meter high atrium facing Chaohu Lake connects the four-story exhibition halls. Visitors can roam through the explore the exhibitions and the atrium via ramps and a 70-meter column-free suspended bridge. Small space for social gathering and resting are situated at both ends of the exhibition hall, where the spiral staircase becomes a visual focus. The roof of the exhibition hall is designed as a viewing garden, offering panoramic views of Chaohu Lake, which also act as the pinnacles of the entire exhibition route.

艺术MALL:穿过位于地下一层的户外庭院,观众可由展览区抵达艺术MALL——这是一处更具日常开放性的场所:容纳有咖啡厅、艺术品商店、书店、小型拍卖厅、报告厅、多功能厅等多种功能。观众可以在看展之余到此继续体验;同时这里也可以作为一个独立开放的区域组织多种艺术交流活动,让大众更接近艺术,让艺术更好的融入日常生活。

The Art MALL: Through the outdoor courtyard located on the first basement level, visitors can reach the Art MALL from the exhibition zone—a space with greater openness for daily access.. It accommodates a variety of functions including a café, an art store, a bookstore, a small auction hall, an auditorium, and a multi-function hall. Visitors can continue their visit here in addition to the permanent exhibition. At the same time, this area can also independently hold multiple art exchange activities, bringing the public to art and bringing art into daily life.

立面
Elevation
概念:黑色的檐口,白色的格栅,灰色的影子构成了代表安徽韵味的黑白灰色调,如同东方意境的水墨渲染。而错动的格栅则写意的表达了徽州民居的特征。
The concept: black eaves, white grilles, and gray shadows create a monochrome tone(black, white, and gray)representing the elegance of Anhui, resembling the ink wash painting in the oriental art The staggered grilles expressively convey the characteristics of Huizhou residential architecture.

意向:建筑立面如同画卷中的宣纸,在笔墨纸砚之中充满东方气质和味道,如淡墨入水,朦胧含蓄,充满了层次性与变化感。随着角度的变化,格栅后面的建筑体量时隐时现,半透的建筑外观是中式哲学的表达。
Intention: The facade is akin to Xuan paper(Chinese art paper) in the paintings, infused with the essence and charm of the Oriental art, surrounded by the Four Treasures of the Study (ink, brush, paper, and inkstone.), like the faint ink dissolving in water—misty and subtle, evoking a sense of gradual transformation. As the perspective shifts, the volume behind the grilles intermittently becomes visible, giving the building a semi-transparent appearance that serving as a manifesto of Chinese philosophy.

表皮: 整体塑造朦胧透明感,通过对材质的筛选,保证美学属性的同时采用具有通风,遮阳,易安装性能的材料。
Building Skin :The overall design creates a sense of hazy transparency. Through the meticulous selection of materials, it not only ensures aesthetic appeal but also promotes ventilation, sun shading, and ease of installation.

从室内看出去,铝合金金属格栅成为梳理光线、将复杂的外部环境艺术化的重要措施,错动的格栅,使得画面呈现动态展现,步移景异,光影变幻,完成从精致的工业感到温润的手工感的转换。
Looking out from the interior, the aluminum alloy metal grille serves as an important measure to organize light, and artistically transforms the complex external environment. The alternating grille creates a dynamic display, with ever-changing scenes and shifting light and shadow as one moves, completing the transition from a refined industrial aesthetic to a warm, handcrafted touch.

第五立面:结合采光,屋顶活动以及设备机房而设计的山形造型,构成了建筑的第五立面。檐口之下,透过格栅看到起伏的建筑天际线,形成了安徽美术馆对“山水画卷”的写意式表达。
The fifth facade: In conjunction with daylighting, rooftop activities, and equipment rooms, the mountain-shaped design defines the building’s fifth facade. Beneath the eaves, the undulating architectural skyline is framed by the grilles, offering an artistic interpretation of a “Shanshui painting” in the Anhui Art Museum.
