Redevelopment of a historic warehouse: Soma-Tech

Located in San Francisco’s sought-after South Park neighborhood, Soma-Tech has undergone an impressive metamorphosis from a 3,000-square-foot warehouse dating back to the 1920s. Designed in 2000 by Zack | de Vito Architecture + Construction, the project demonstrates a deep understanding of modern needs combined with historical significance. Upon arrival, the building’s periphery, in shades of gray and surrounded by lush greenery, welcomes visitors with a contemporary and timeless atmosphere.

Inside, the spacious, open-plan design immediately catches the eye. An impeccable combination of wood and concrete characterizes the entrance and leads guests into the warm common area. The sophisticated kitchen with its dark cabinetry contrasts beautifully with the inviting wood details on the walls.
