上海的魅力，始终在于她开放而前卫的气质，屹立潮头而不失从容。露香园所在的老城厢，对于上海人而言，是更为鲜活而生动的历史记忆。海派文学作家王安忆曾以露香园顾氏家族的“顾绣”为背景，创作《天香》，细描“嘉桃、糟疏、顾绣、海墨”“一夜莲开”等故园传奇，将老上海认真生活的居住理念表达在居所的考究之中。这里是上海的乡愁，是故事的起点，是“海纳百川”“中西合璧”的一抹厚重的底色。巷陌纵横间，消逝的城墙与幸存的古园共同构成老城厢的“魂”，也赋予露香园重焕生机的契机，让这片土地再次行于历史的最前沿。

Shanghai’s charm lies in its openness and forward-thinking spirit. For locals, the Old Town where Aroma Garden stands embodies living history. In Heavenly Fragrance, Wang Anyi captures this essence through the Gu family’s “Gu embroidery,” reflecting old Shanghai’s thoughtful way of living. This nostalgic origin, where East meets West, endures through the alleys and gardens. Aroma Garden revitalizes this legacy, bringing the land back to the forefront of history.

城市中，总有一个稳定的场所，它们构架为城市发展的参照物，并铸就城市生活的起点和源头。——乔治·佩雷克

若将城墙视为城市的起点，老城厢则为上海故事的溯源。这里曾是市井烟火蒸腾的繁盛之地，各地商贾汇聚，孕育出冠生园、童涵春堂、吴良材眼镜等一批历久弥新的老字号。促生的不仅是对精致生活的追求，更是上海生活美学的原型。富庶的江南，以其丰沛的文化滋养文人雅士的意趣，于是露香园在这片土地上应运而生。如今，故园归来。王安忆笔下那座活色生香的露香园，重生于昔年故地，一并绽放的还有繁华的底色与深植根脉的文化。

The Old Town is the origin of Shanghai’s story, once a thriving hub that birthed iconic brands like Guan Sheng Yuan. This rich cultural heritage shaped Shanghai’s aesthetic, with Aroma Garden emerging as a reflection of Jiangnan’s refined traditions. Today, it returns to its roots, with Wang Anyi’s vibrant portrayal of the garden, carrying the city’s prosperous heritage and deep cultural roots.

当下，传统高周转项目所呈现的范式化设计，似乎已逐渐失了创新的启发性。无间设计，以待客之道为起笔，追溯在地文化的脉络，在五感与旧时记忆之间，簇生出一种追寻长期主义的空间原型。由此，露香园被定义为一方大宅居所，以东方人的礼仪款待来客，透过细微之处隐现生活场景的无限可能。在居住形态的无声演变中，我们不断探寻空间、细部与日常之物所包围的生活艺术，让有形的场所与无形的文化，在“新日常”的行走与停驻间，化为露香园记忆的具象呈现与隐喻表达。

W.DESIGN, inspired by hospitality and local culture, creates Aroma Garden as a grand residence that reflects Eastern etiquette and the possibilities of daily life. In the evolving forms of living, it blends architecture, furniture, and art to transform tangible spaces and intangible culture into the essence of Aroma Garden’s memories, embodied in the New everyday.

由外及内，光明渐转阴影，每一隅空间都在不断引发着对远方的想象，悄然鼓动着人向前，于有限空间中透过身体感知无穷，触碰咫尺之间的远意，内心的拜访之行悄然开启。任天进的《太湖石》雕塑矗立如静水深流，既有物派的无为、亦有海派的神蕴，虚现于实，实彰显虚，恰与摩登东方的语言不期而合。

Upon entering, Ren Tianjins sculpture Taihu Lake Stone stands tall, embodying the spiritual essence of the Shanghai style, perfectly aligning with Modern Orientalism. The scene sparks distant imagination, where the infinite is sensed within a limited space, subtly initiating an inner journey to the garden.

待客，往往始于主人为客人点燃的炉火，寻一道好水，烹一盏好茶，带着温度与故事，细水长流，这便是厅堂中最为雅致的迎接仪式。炉边，雕塑台上安静地放置着那些恰如其分的甜品，一块老上海的蝴蝶酥，或多或少唤回了记忆深处的往事，就如堂中静静燃烧的暖意般持久温馨。

Receiving guests often begins with the host lighting the stove, selecting fine water, and brewing a good tea, carrying warmth and stories, flowing gently over time. This becomes the most elegant greeting ritual in the hall. Beside the stove, on the sculpture stand, sit perfectly placed sweets—an old Shanghai butterfly pastry, which quietly evokes memories, lingering warmly like the gentle fire burning in the room.

拼花地板不断低语着老上海的故事，主人的声音在空间里缓缓飘荡，讲述着露香园的古今变迁。我们无需过多言语，只需在雕塑台旁稍作倚靠，聆听那娓娓道来的历史与文化，沉浸于不言的记忆之中。

The inlaid flooring in the study whispers stories of old Shanghai, while the host’s voice drifts through the space, recounting the changes of Aroma Garden over time. No words are needed—simply leaning beside the sculpture stand, we listen to the unfolding history and culture, immersing ourselves in unspoken memories.

黄金书屋

书中自有黄金屋，山水为重屏，金箔覆方顶，时光在其中静静雕琢，凝结出一座“黄金书屋”。也暗合了露香园非遗顾绣的文化传承。当视线聚焦于中央悬浮的一方洞石，古物静穆相对。于是，二者之间便产生了历史的流动与连接。

Within the books lies a golden house, framed by landscapes, with a gilded roof that quietly shapes time, forming a Golden Book House. This subtly reflects the cultural heritage of Aroma Gardens Gu Xiu embroidery. As the gaze shifts to the suspended stone at the center, ancient artifacts stand in serene contrast, creating a flow and connection of history between them.

主人轻引客人入内，画屏层层展卷，墨绿色楼梯静卧其间。一座现代主义的雕塑，在东方的游山中蜿蜒而上，凭栏相望，指引着未知的远意，引发内心深处的共鸣。在这熟悉的空间中，我们得以重新寻求“人”、“物”与“空间”的连接，审视那些平日被忽视的细节和微观关系。

The host gently leads the guest inside, where painted screens unfold and a dark green staircase rests nearby. A modernist sculpture winds through the space, guiding the imagination and evoking resonance. In this familiar setting, we rediscover the connections between people, objects, and space, reflecting on overlooked details and relationships.

变则新，不变则腐；变则活，不变则板。——《闲情偶寄·演习部·变调第二》

传统地产在塑造日常时，常将其浓缩为无机的容器，致使生活逐渐失去层次与文化的深度。无间设计寻求以“隐居十六观”般的生活方式打破这一局限，探索东方记忆中的稀松平常。通过摩登东方的设计语言，我们超越表象，将空间转化为一种深层的体验与诠释，使其每一隅皆可驻足沉思，于静默中流露生活的本真与时间的诗意。

Traditional real estate often reduces daily life to an empty container, losing cultural depth. W.DESIGN, inspired by Sixteen Views of Eremitic Living, explores the simplicity of Eastern memories, with each space subtly reflecting the owners mood and connecting everyday life through delicate transitions.

我们时常需要某一瞬的宁静，去释放身体与记忆中的束缚。酒廊内，光影的温度凝结成历史的肌理，柔和的灯光低语般地照映出材质的细腻层次。Verrerie Des Hanots 设计的中古壁灯投射出低沉的光晕，像一缕沉淀的余韵，将时光的回响与记忆的绵延置于一隅。这样的空间，既是栖身之所，又是身心的庇护所，意在唤醒个体对黄金年代的一种隐约共鸣，让人得以脱离当下，心意温存，感怀不已。

We often seek a moment of tranquility to release the constraints of body and memory. In the lounge, soft lighting illuminates the delicate textures of the materials, while vintage wall lights by Verrerie Des Hanots cast a gentle glow, evoking the echoes of time and memories. This space serves as both a refuge and a sanctuary, awakening a quiet resonance with a golden era, allowing one to escape the present and embrace a sense of warmth and nostalgia.

影厅的设计不仅关乎收藏与鉴赏，更是凝聚了对悦聊与思索的场所本质的关切。摒弃传统硬包，墙面以和纸覆盖，呈现出东方气韵的深沉意蕴，暗红的色泽与材质的质朴相得益彰。客人席间，隐约忆起老上海的旧影，触手可及的唱片带来某种年代的记忆。引导人穿越时间的廊道，与往昔的光影对话，重拾内心深处的怀想。

The screening room design focuses on conversation and reflection, using washi paper walls to evoke Eastern aesthetics. Dark red tones and simple materials complement each other, while records bring echoes of old Shanghai. The space guides guests through time, sparking nostalgia and a dialogue with past memories.

酿桃，正是 Lounge 空间色彩的隐喻，亦可视作对历史的一种回应。隐士乐山水与酒，春来满山桃花，花尽结桃果，初夏的甘露转化为桃酒，从秋饮至冬，直至新春，桃花再开。于是，时光便在空间内酿成一个周而复始的轮回。

The gently opened peach wine bottle symbolizes the color palette of the Lounge space and serves as a response to history. The hermit enjoys mountains, waters, and wine, where spring brings peach blossoms, which transform into peach wine by early summer. From autumn to winter, the wine flows until spring, when the peach blossoms bloom again. Thus, time within the space becomes a cyclical process, ever-renewing.

会客厅的设想则更趋于旧时的书斋，使言谈浸润温馨，又承载一种独属的归属感。每个区域之间的可开合设计，使空间的关系变得灵活多变。我们希望每位来客能在此一隅窥见未来家的轮廓：一方书房、一隅酒廊、一间影厅，启迪生活的无穷可能，触发对自我与生活本质的崭新认知。

The guest room is designed to resemble a family study, where conversation is infused with warmth and a unique sense of belonging. The flexible, movable partitions between areas allow for dynamic space relationships. We aim for every guest to catch a glimpse of the future home: a study, a lounge, and a media room—each inspiring endless possibilities in life and sparking a fresh understanding of self and the essence of living.

人总是生活在某种“境域”中，我们希望居住氛围和生活形态能够呈现出多种可能性：致敬历史，却不照搬历史。通过对空间的想象和对人文积淀的研究，将东方生活美学融入当下的“新日常”。最终呈现的，不止是五感的延伸与记忆的追溯，更是一种人与空间之间的流动与共鸣——不仅关乎历史的安放，更是心灵的驻足。穿越一个多世纪的跌宕剧情，地处城市核心风貌区的露香园，借由摩登东方的设计语言，以崭新的姿态重新演绎上海故事的原点，以现代居住理念塑造一个诗意栖居之所。

People live within a certain realm, and we aim for living spaces that honor history without merely replicating it. By blending Eastern aesthetics with the New everyday, we create a space that resonates with both the senses and the soul. Aroma Garden, with its modern Eastern design, reinterprets Shanghai’s origins, shaping a poetic dwelling through contemporary residential concepts.
