The building is designed based on the concept of a Chinese fan. The folding pattern of the fan is used to create the interior space. Every opening in the design aligns towards the central axis, similar to the pivot point of the fan.

The exterior roof is designed to mimic the fluid motion of a fan. This was achieved by experimenting with paper fans joined together to complete the circle’s radius, then using wind to blow in the same direction as the real wind, creating a roof shape that flutters, following the natural effect.
