Living Waters – Ecological Restoration Of  The Lake Necklace

由国际团队Pelinu Projects、Beros Abdul和Maurus Schifferli组成的设计团队，在布加勒斯特第二区六个Colentina湖的湖岸开发设计竞赛中，赢得了所有三个标段的胜利。

The international team of Pelinu Projects, Beros Abdul and Maurus Schifferli win all three lots of the Design Competition for the lakeshore development of the six Colentina Lakes in 2nd district, Bucharest.

Colentina湖群在共产主义时期被系统化管理，但在此后长期被忽视。一些湖泊受到严重污染，部分区域在1989年革命后甚至被非法占用。近年来，已有约7万吨垃圾从湖中清理出来。为了让这片总面积约100公顷、湖岸线总长27公里的区域再次为城市所用，当地举办了一场国际建筑设计竞赛。

The Colentina Lakes were systematised during the communist era and rather neglected, partly heavily polluted and in some cases illegally built over after the 1989 revolution. In recent years, around 70 000 tons of waste have been removed from the lakes. An international architectural competition was held to find solutions to make the approximately 100 hectare area with a total of 27 kilometres of lakeshore usable for the city again.

设计方案的目标是通过多种自然措施净化湖水，包括修复性半岛、人工湿地、废弃土地的自然化改造以及城市三角洲等。这些干预措施不仅改善了湖水质量，还提升了公共可达性，将湖岸结构化为各种不同的自然空间，同时确保湖泊生态系统的保护与修复。通过划定自然区域和加强现有有时过于野生的植被，一个重要的绿色体量得以形成，这不仅有助于湖泊水分的储存与保护，还能在夏季高温中为城市降温。新增的本地果树、浆果植物和花卉田地连接起不同的景观空间和城市社区，将整个区域变成一个融合野生与人工自然的巨大公园。

The proposal aims to purify the water in the lakes by various natural measures such as regenerative peninsulas, constructed wetlands, renaturalisation of abandoned lands or an urban delta. These interventions make the water more accessible to the public and structure the shore into a variety of very different nature spaces, ensuring the protection and restauration of the lakes ecosystem. By defining natural areas and densifying the existing, sometimes wild vegetation, a substantial green volume is created that stores and secures the moisture of the lakes and helps cooling down the city in its increasingly hot summers. Newly planted native fruit trees, berries and fields of flowers connect the various landscape spaces and urban neighbourhoods, turning the entire area into a huge park of wild and cultivated nature.

项目还计划建设步道、公园、游泳池、城市沙滩及各种体育设施。Colentina湖群将因此成为布加勒斯特的一片新休闲娱乐区域，对这座拥有约200万人口的城市带来深远的社会与生态影响。

A promenade, parks, swimming pools, an urban beach and various sports facilities are to be built. The Colentina Lakes will thus become a new leisure and recreation area with a striking long-term social and ecological impact on the city of Bucharest and its approximately 2 million inhabitants.
