2024 DigiWave - DdDd

Exhibition Design & Visual Identity

DigiWave is an annual festival themed around "technology," with 2024’s focus on "DdDd: the evolution of sound" from analogue to digital. Our team, ULTRACOMBOS, was commissioned to curate the exhibition, and we're contributed as visual designers, responsible for the main visuals and graphic style.To tell the story of sound’s evolution, we turned the exhibition space into a giant instrument. Interactive "synthesizer" in different sections allow visitors to shape the sound experience. To unify these interfaces, we created 16 characters representing different aspects of sound, which visitors can control via their smartphones. Exploring the exhibition becomes a game, where players collect elements to generate a personalised instrument, turning their phones into portable creative tools for collaboration.This design drives active exploration and learning. Visitors become creators, experiencing how music and visuals evoke emotions. Through interactive gameplay and sound visualisation, we hope everyone embarks on an auditory journey through the digital age.
