“The Travel in Story World”
There were originally two game events in the venue, namely “Robinson Water Rafting” and “Taishan Rope Swing”. Inspired by existing game projects, this project launched the concept of “story world journey”. Using the rose gardens, lakes and forests in the site, four themes were designed: “Thorn Mountains”, “Beach Kingdom”, “Thriller Canyon” and “Mysterious Forest”. During the journey, visitors will discover multiple story scenes in the same environment.

In the design, the story is abstracted away. Visitors need to guess while walking. This setting improves the interaction between the venue and the visitors, and also improves the communication between the visitors. Through discussion and discovery, visitors can relive classic stories or gain a new book list.

Through the Mountain of Thorns

There is an existing rose garden at the entrance to the bend in the park, a sight reminiscent of the “Sleeping Beauty” drapery. The peculiar shape of Rose Mountain Ridge makes it impossible to ignore, making it a new landmark of the park and the entrance to the story world. It is constructed of wooden stakes, with treads set on the Rose Mountain Ridge that spans the road. The pedals are deliberately set at small intervals, so that tourists of all ages can climb to the top of the Rose Mountain Ridge and overlook the entire park. After traversing the entire Rose Mountain Ridge through the rope net, through the slide, people finally reach the beautiful Rose Garden.

Beach Kingdom

There was a lake with a sandy beach called “Robinson Lake” in the park. Here, we established the “Beach Kingdom”. In addition to preserving the original game facilities on site, “Robinson River Adventure” and “Tarzan Swing,” the designer drew inspiration from “Gulliver’s Travels” to create a ship battle game, where people feel as if they are in the scene of Gulliver fighting against the Lilliputians. Children sitting on the mermaid swings imagine themselves as the little mermaid from “The Little Mermaid,” while those on the alligator seesaws are all brave warriors from “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.”

In addition to game scenes of various dimensions, designers hope to conduct popular science through different game experiences. Various water element installations provide opportunities for children to observe and interact with flowing water. Under the stimulation of sight and touch, popularize common knowledge of mathematics and physics, such as the law of water flow, the law of water infiltration, the reasons for the formation of eddy currents, etc.

Dangerous Canyons

A plot with a large height difference in the park arouses our fantasy of story scenes such as cliffs, canyons, and caves, and the “thrilling canyon” comes from this. The designer not only designed the “magic slide” in accordance with the terrain, but also introduced artificial height differences through the undulating climbing equipment in the “cunning labyrinth” to build more steep “mountains”. The deliberately narrowed aisles increase the difficulty of passing obstacles and create more “canyons”.

Wild Forest

The forest is said to be the most frequent scene in the story. How many fairy tales can you name in the forest? Forests are always mysterious to people. Traveling through the “Chickenfoot Cabin” or “Broom Race”, we feel like we are in a magical world. The dwarf pedal, the wolf slide is inspired by two popular Grimm fairy tales.

The game equipment is all made of locust wood with a light-colored water-soluble paint finish, reinforced with metal, and protected with a hemp rope net. The themes of the sites vary, but the design maintains a high degree of unity in terms of materials and construction.
