Text description provided by the architects. The RF House is located in a gated community in Porongo, Santa Cruz-Bolivia. The project was designed based on the existing vegetation on the site, which is why it consists of two volumes that intersect with each other, leaving open patios that embrace the trees in the area. The core of the house, both vertically and horizontally, is located in the center of the main volume, where a patio marks the entrance to the home.

The main volume is made up of two floors that accommodate all the functions of the house, with social areas on the ground floor and private areas on the upper floor. Meanwhile, the secondary volume contains leisure space and other operational areas.

The service area of the house is semi-buried at the front of the home, hidden behind a plane that extends at its ends beyond the grid of the house, breaking the rigidity of its module. The central circulation of the house and the transparency in the connection between its spaces provide the structure with a natural flow in its layout and a sense of spaciousness and brightness in each of its areas.

The materials used emphasize a contrast between the interior and the exterior; the house itself has an orderly and structured nature. However, the interior spatiality allows for a more welcoming aesthetic, partly achieved by the use of concrete on the exterior, contrasted with wood on the interior.

The connection between both is achieved thanks to the predominant glass, which allows for transparency, flow, and connection between these spaces. The modulation not only organizes and structures the project but also aims to reduce time, costs, and waste in construction through the use of standardized sizes of materials.
