MUSO DESIGN:”I believe that true beauty is something that can withstand the test of time. Time possesses a corrosive power that is relentless and spares no one, as well as a will to return everything to the earth. Those forms and colors that endure these trials are the embodiment of true beauty.” — Hiroshi Sugimoto
Nature Has Its Seasons, So Do We

The linear wooden entrance guides visitors to the garden’s entry point. The natural scenery subtly filtered through the wooden lattice gate, along with the pomegranate tree leaning down from the entrance, invites one to enter this serene place.

Stepping through the gate and into a patchwork of varying shades of green feels like loosening the soil of a spiritual garden, allowing individuals to experience a budding sensation. Immersed in the lush greenery, one can stretch out and feel genuine, just like all living things in nature, returning life to its simplicity.

As early summer brings growth, the trees surround the house with lush foliage
An exclusive area extending from the tearoom embodies a common comfort and the expansion of greenery. Sipping tea in the corridor, one can feel the breeze lifting the cup, with the fragrance of tea mingling with the aroma of plants, absorbing the essence of the wilderness. This space serves not only as a sanctuary for the body and mind but also as a realm for the true emotions and spiritual identity of oneself.

Stepping into the Tranquil Greenery
The space enclosed by water-washed stones and wooden structures is embraced by the growth of plants. Sitting leisurely here, one is surrounded by a tapestry of greens in varying shades. Sunlight penetrates the layers of leaves, casting shimmering patterns on the ground like twinkling stars falling through the gaps. Plants yearn to bask in the sun, to ripen; the quiet patches of grass, moss on tree trunks, and flowers waiting for their season to bloom—all of this draws one into a tranquil green reminiscent of clouds. It feels as though one has entered a forest glen, where the air is light and moist, and life feels effortlessly serene and refreshing.

More Than Just Wind and Water
A small water feature, at times calm and at times flowing, creates a soothing atmosphere. The gentle caress of the wind and the soft murmur of water weave seamlessly through nature and daily life. The rhythm of nature is eternal and vibrant; we do not always sprout new buds, forever bloom, or endlessly wither. Instead, we flow like a winding river, continuously moving…

In this space, one can catch the scent of new plant shoots in spring. In summer, there is joy in witnessing wild growth amidst the thunder of storms. Late autumn brings thick fog and abundant harvests. Meanwhile, winter offers serene stillness as everything rests, allowing nature to grow freely until moss emerges.
