1-1 伫立于湿地音乐公园最高点|Located at the peak point of Kaizhou New Town Music Park
凯州婚礼堂及酒店,伫立于成都东部凯州新城的音乐公园最高点,南侧呈现出湿地自然风光。山下远望,雄伟高耸的礼堂正门以及起伏绵延的立面序列在不同视点得到展开。
Kaizhou Wedding Chapel and Hotel, resting on the peak location inside Kaizhou New Town Music Park, overlooks the sceneries of natural wetlands on the south. If gazing afar from the foot of the hill, the soaring front gate, as well as the façade sequences, unfold themselves from multilayered perspectives.

1-2 雅典卫城的回响|Echoes from the Acropolis
婚礼堂与雅典卫城都是仪式性空间,通过空间序列引导人的动作和视线。主要建筑部分沿山体边缘分散布置,形成叙事轴线和功能轴线的双轴线空间结构。仰视,建筑立面徐徐展开,同时视域随着山体边缘形成构图。沿游步道登高至礼堂正面,高耸的三维正立面被逐渐拉近,近乎于被拍扁的二维画面 — 山脚下的远景、上山的中景、礼堂内侧的近景,叠加形成一组具有容纳力的正观立面。
Similar to the Acropolis of Athens, the wedding chapel is also a ceremonial space that directs movements and views. The majority portions of the architectural complex scatter along the hill’s outline, constructing a spatial structure with double axes – narrative and program. By elevating the view, the façade is surfaced gradually while completing the general composition with the help of the hill’s profile. Ascending along the trail to the front of the Chapel, approaching the three-dimensional façade till the moment as if it’s been flattened to a 2D image – the long view of the hill foot, the medium view of the hill itself, and the full body of the architecture, together superimpose to a set of inclusive orthogonal elevation.

进入建筑群内,礼堂东侧的回廊,双柱结构相互交织,使光影斑驳穿梭,形成丰富的观游体验。
The double colonnades interweaving with each other offers the tones for the cloister by the east of the Wedding Chapel. The dappling lights and shadows significantly enrich both visual and touring experiences while stepping into the complex.

2. 轴线与浅空间
Axes and Shallow Spaces
2-1 空间乐章|Spatial Allegretto
婚礼堂通过双轴线空间结构塑造如乐曲般的空间序列。环绕串联的回廊构成曲谱,双柱廊、飞扶壁、台地关系,仿佛乐谱的音符,空间交织转换构成乐曲的旋律篇章。
The Wedding Chapel creates spatial sequences full of musicality with biaxial spatial structure, composing scores around the corridor – double colonnades, flying buttresses, platform relationships are like musical notes, intertwining the physical spaces to compose melodic narratives.

串联整体布局的功能平面结构同时引导着游走路径,回廊以“麦比乌斯环”的形式穿梭于建筑群落,形成在建筑空间与自然山体之间的场景转化,也构成了流动与连续的观游体验。以斑驳的自然光影和空间的开合转换,激活了结构性曲谱,音乐由此动听。
The programmatic plans connects the general layouts, as well as guides the circulation. The Mobius corridor shuttles within the complex, forming scenaric transitions between architectural space and natural hill-forms, as well as flowing and continuous movements and experiences. Light and shadows resonate spatial characteristics, thereby activating the score structure. The music is alive.

婚礼堂由三个和谐而富有节奏的部分组成,如同三部曲式。第一乐章是宏伟的序曲,序幕由一座高耸的入口开启,折线形态带来强烈的视觉体验。入口门洞内的阶梯系统,层层叠叠,形成丰富的引入体验。第二乐章是节奏的流转,速度徐缓,步入外廊,光线透过间隙洒落,明暗交错,形成一组轻快自然的小步舞曲。第三乐章是平和的终章,来到连廊围绕的中庭,空间逐渐打开,阳光透过树梢洒下,地面上投下斑驳的影子。此刻,耳边除了风声与鸟叫,还有持续回响的婚礼堂背景曲,回荡于建筑群中的婚礼音乐与建筑空间乐章共鸣。
The Wedding Chapel trilogy consists of three rhythmic yet harmonious parts. The grand overture – the towering, folded-form portal with a strong visual impression – kicks off the first movement. The stair system at doorway offers the multilayered forms of movement. The theme of Euterpe is the flow of rhythms. Lingering in the corridor and between scattered lights, one could compose a light and fresh minuet. The last movement sets the stage in the cloister where the gradually opened space houses the silhouettes of branches, soft breeze, and silvery tweets. The continuous background choir resonates with architectural and spatial rhythms to transcend the musical narratives.

2-2 立面系统:浅空间|Elevation system: shallow space
立面不是一面单墙,而是层层退进的空间序列。当视线停落在某一个墙面上时,这个原本平直的墙体开始在不同维度上发挥张力,或延伸成一道斜梯,或形成一个坐榻,或浮现为一个龛洞,由此,空间被层层挤压,获得空间层级与意义的扩张,时空感受被无限拉长,形成饱满的外部形态。
例如,婚礼堂正面门洞,通过在平面上层层退让的台阶,以及交织退后的立面墙体,获得了引人浸入其间的深邃洞天。
The elevation is not a single partition but a sequence of spaces that recede in layers. When eyes rest on a particular façade, the vertical wall starts to exert its tension towards multiple dimensions, either extending into a sloping staircase, forming a couch, or carving a niche. The squeezed space, then, expands spatial hierarchies and meanings. The infinite stretches of time and space gives the complex yet comprehensive exterior to the architecture.
For instance, the front doorway of the Wedding Chapel obtains the immersive atmosphere through the set-back stairs and elevations.

又例如,盘旋于建筑之外的双廊,建筑空间和外部自然的交互与渗透,与黑白琴键互相咬合、彼此维系产生层次感和节奏感。双廊并置使行走的路径发生转折,单一路径也被打破形成交织关系。行走时,身体沿廊道向前,而视线则顺着柱廊投向外部的自然环境,通过身体和视线之间的偏离,产生行动与感知的矛盾与错位,空间的场景性和事件性被交织串联。

Another example is the double corridor coiled outside the architecture, where architectural spaces and nature interact and penetrate, generating layers and rhythms, as if black and white keys on a piano. The corridor grows and turns, allowing the formation of an intertwined relation in a singular routine. While stepping physically in the corridor, the sights project towards the natural landscape. The deviation between body and vision triggers the contradiction between movement and sensation – spatial scenariosity and eventness are linked.

建筑立面上的飞廊也是如此,与墙面发生着接二连三的交互,有时轻露在建筑之外显得飘逸,有时相互纠缠,有时好像与墙体发生过剧烈碰撞,留下了巨大的裂痕和开口,形成多层级、多面向的形态结构。
The same is true for the flying buttresses. Some are explosive and floating, others entangle and sometimes seem to violently collide with the walls, leaving huge cracks and the openings that forms multidirectional and hierarchical morphology.

2-3 序列:碎片性结构|Sequence: fragmented structure
层层递进的立面序列,组织形成婚礼堂与庭院酒店群组自北向南串联的碎片性结构。由此形成紧密的建筑群落,述说着空间与时间交织的故事。碎片性结构包括建筑立面序列、悬挑于建筑外部的飞廊、串联性廊道组织、与从阳台/居室/内廊/庭院的纵向序列等元素组。

The progressive sequence of the elevations organizes the fragmented structure of the chapel and courtyard hotel groups. The fragmented yet strongly bonded community tells a story of time and space. The fragmented structure consists of sequential elevations, cantilevered buttresses, cascading corridors, balconies/living rooms/inner corridors/courtyards, among other elements that constitute vertical sequences.

3. 功能布局
Program Layout
婚礼堂与酒店的功能和流线组织巧妙地与三部曲布局相融合,共同谱写出和谐与充满节奏感的空间乐章。婚礼堂作为序章,位于最南端,以宏伟的姿态迎接宾客。一层以入口门洞为客人逗留的主要场所,并设有婚礼配套功能,如排练室、化妆间和更衣室。二层是被回廊环绕的婚礼仪式殿堂。新人和宾客可以通过主入口阶梯引导进入,仪式后从从南边开口绕出进行茶歇,沿飞廊直达南边婚礼酒店住宿区。
The programs and circulations of the Wedding Chapel and hotel integrate strategically with the trilogy, together playing a rhythmic and harmonious spatial orchestration. The Wedding Chapel, as the overture, sits at the southernmost end to greet guests with its grandeur. The first floor features an entrance doorway as the main area for wandering, accompanied by wedding supports such as rehearsal rooms, dressing and changing rooms. The second floor is the ceremony hall encircled by a corridor. Couples and guests can be guided in through the main staircase. And the south gate supports the tea break after the ceremony, leading straightly to the hotel on the south.

第二乐章位于庭院酒店的中段。花池绿植与休憩座椅相映成趣,供宾客放松身心。客房沿内、外回廊交织分布,其中婚礼套房享有最佳景观,面向东南的湿地公园和人民渠景象。
The second movement takes place in the center section of the courtyard hotel. Florals and greens are set against lounge seating for guests to relax. Guest rooms are distributed along both inner and outer corridors, and the wedding suite enjoys the best view of the southeast wetland and People’s Canal.

第三乐章是酒店住宿区,位于场地北端最高处,有独立车辆及大堂入口。酒店内设有餐厅、咖啡吧及各类休闲配套设施。北立面的横向酒店门洞与南立面的纵向婚礼堂洞口遥相呼应。整个婚礼堂与酒店的功能和流线组织,就像一部精心编排的交响乐,引领宾客们在空间中穿梭,体验从序曲到终章的完整旅程。
The stage for the last movement is located in the hotel, the peak point at the north end of the site. It contains separate vehicle and lobby entrances. The hotel has a restaurant, coffee bar, and various other amenities. The horizontal doorway on the north façade of the hotel echoes the counterpart on the south elevation of the Chapel. The overall program organization and circulation is like a symphony that is carefully choreographed and able to walk guests through various spaces, sensing the comprehend narratives of the journey.
