本项目源于内江张大千纪念馆首任馆长汪毅的个人收藏,文献馆展示了汪毅 34 年来研究张大千(大风堂)的全部成果,包含了大量的门人作品、亲属信札和其他文献资料近万件。我们和 Don‘t Like Design Lab 一同在接手项目后对所有藏品进行了整理,对所有研究成果、文献资料进行了学习与梳理,完成了文献馆的策划与设计。方案中不仅包含了空间的设计,也设计了多幅信息图表,从不同的维度统计和展示了张大千一生的足迹、在成都故事和与敦煌的不解之缘。使文献馆不仅仅可以成为张大千研究者的集会所,也能让一般参观者能够快速建立对张大千历史贡献的了解,推动张大千研究活动的发展。
The project originates from the personal collection of Wang Yi, the first director of the Neijiang Chang Dai-chien Memorial Hall. The documentation center showcases Wang Yi’s 34 years of research outcomes on Chang Dai-chien (Dafengtang), featuring nearly 10,000 items such as works by Chang’s disciples, letters from his family, and other historical documents. After taking on the project, we collaborated with Don’t Like Design Lab to organize the entire collection, study and sort all research outcomes and documents, and complete the planning and design of the documentation center. The proposal not only includes the design of the space but also features several information charts that offer a multidimensional view of Chang Dai-chien’s life, his stories with Chengdu, and his deep ties to Dunhuang. This makes the documentation center not only a gathering place for Chang Dai-chien researchers but also an accessible space where general visitors can quickly understand his historical contributions. Therefore, it will further promote the development of Chang Dai-chien research activities.

馆内主题色调来源于张大千的山水画作与他最具代表的技法——泼墨泼彩。画面上挥洒的“石青”“石绿”,融汇了记忆与幻想,呈现出了如梦如诗的景象。他是色彩的大师,这青绿色的记忆也是他留给后世最深刻的印象之一。
The dominant hue of the center is inspired by Chang Dai-chien’s landscape paintings and his signature technique—splashed ink and color. The colors of “stone blue” and “stone green” on the canvas blend memory with imagination, creating a scene that is both dreamlike and poetic. He was a master of color, and these shades of green and blue are among the most lasting impressions he left for future generations.

文献馆共分为四个章节:前两个章节从张大千出生的内江开始,到创立大风堂,再到临摹敦煌的前前后后与其艺术创作对于历史产生的深远影响为题。
The documentation center consists of four sections. The first two sections cover Chang Dai-chien’s early life in Neijiang, the founding of Dafengtang, his copying of Dunhuang murals, as well as the lasting influence his artistic achievements had on history.

We have compiled Chang Dai-chien’s major activities during his time in Chengdu. Based on their geographical locations on a map, we have visualized the impact Chang Dai-chien had on this city from both a temporal and spatial perspective.

Chang Dai-chien’s endeavor to copy Dunhuang murals represents a unique chapter in his artistic life, having a lasting influence on both himself and the world. This chronological table not only captures the full process of his journey to Dunhuang but also traces the development and continuation of this endeavor through relevant exhibitions, publications, and events. As this event stands as one of the richest and most captivating chapters in Chang Dai-chien’s life, we have made every effort to provide the most comprehensive presentation of it so far.

Throughout his life, Chang Dai-chien traveled to many countries, bringing his art to the world. This map details the key events and routes of his travels, showing us the significant role this world-renowned artist played in spreading Chinese culture.

年表包含张大千、亲属、师友、报道与访问事迹、国内外历史大事件几条时间线,其编排旨在通过对比不同角度的时间轴线上所发生的事件,来分析、推敲张大千人生经历的种种前因后果,从而挖掘出隐藏在表面之下的信息,是剖析历史人物、历史事件的重要研究手段。
The chronological table consists of several timelines of the life of Chang Dai-chien, his family, teachers and friends, as well as reports, visits, and major historical events both domestically and internationally. It is designed to explore and analyze the connections between these events from different angles, allowing us to understand the underlying reasons and consequences of Chang Dai-chien’s journey of life. This is an important research means of analyzing historical figures and events.

This is a family tree of Chang Dai-chien, as well as a record of correspondence by Wang Yi over the years for his research. The chart follows the two main clues of Chang Dai-chien and Wang Yi, showcasing their connection that transcends time yet is profoundly close. It is this persistence and commitment that has enabled us to turn this documentation center into a reality.

我们还编辑和设计了一本图册,其中除了收录了此次汪毅老师的全部捐赠之外,还包含了文献馆展示部分的全部内容,希望能够作为一本纸上的文献馆,使围绕张大千的研究能够得到更广泛的传播。
We also compiled and designed an album, which includes the complete donation from Wang Yi and all the content on display. We hope that it can act as a “documentation center on paper” to promote the research on Chang Dai-chien among a broader audience.

这是一座文献馆,也是一场关于张大千及其画派的学术展览,每次完成这样的项目都是一场浩大的研究和学习旅程。这座场馆已经落成半年有余,也一直听闻各路学者和读者们陆续来访,期待这里的馆藏和研究会获得更多的丰富与延续。
This is more than just a documentation center. It is also an academic exhibition about Chang Dai-chien and his artistic school. Completing such a project requires a lengthy process of research and learning. The center has been established for over half a year, and many scholars and readers have visited it. We look forward to the continuous enrichment and development of the collections and research outcomes showcased in the center.
