Twin Palms house sits in Brisbane’s suburban landscape as a study in relaxed sophistication where mid-century modern aesthetics meet contemporary Australian living. Melbourne-based Furnishd Studio’s transformation speaks volumes about its approach to interiors.
The arrival begins with a striking yellow front door. A gallery-style entrance hallway, adorned with Slim Aarons Poolside prints, creates an immediate connection to the mid-century era’s golden age of leisure and sophistication.
The interior spaces flow with grace, each room composed to balance form and function. In the rumpus room, the sinuous lines of the Jardan Valley Sofa create a perfect vignette against lush garden views, while Misa Gelin’s vibrant artwork *Pedro* adds a layer of sophistication to the casual atmosphere.
At the heart of the home, the main living areas is a conversation-worthy space. The De Sede DS-600 Non-Stop Sofa is a sculptural anchor in the living room, while the Seb Oval Dining Table paired with Tolv Inlay barstools creates an elegant dining setting. A particularly touching detail comes in the form of a handcrafted drinks cabinet—a family heirloom made by the homeowner’s father—which sits alongside another Misa Gelin piece, ‘Lunch on Noosa Everglades’.
The master bedroom continues the home’s aesthetic with a custom-made Ivy Bedhead and HC28 Cosmo Anni Bedside Tables, their rounded forms adding to the overall sense of calm and comfort.
“We trusted Furnishd completely, and the outcome is fantastic,” share the homeowners. “We couldn’t be happier.”
