Rosella stands as a sustainable sushi spot nestled in the heart of the East Village. With a focal point being a spacious central bar serving both as a kitchen and a communal eating space, we've employed a thoughtful play of colors to delineate different areas within, omakase experience and a la carte menu. Drawing inspiration from Japanese artisanal aesthetics, we've incorporated materials like stretched canvas, dyes, cement tiles, and raw wood. However, our approach diverges from the typical sushi bar style, where color tends to be used sparingly. Instead, the vibrant hues and textures of our décor infuse the space with a sense of warmth and coziness, reflecting the owners' priority to create an inclusive atmosphere that resonates with their East Village community.
In line with the team's conscious goals, we utilized a fallen tree wood for the main wood finishings and collaborated with local makers such as fefostudio, and Clover Ceramics, commissioning custom lighting and tableware for the space.
