Built in the early 19th century, grand white stucco facades and tree-lined garden squares define the elegant urban landscape of London's Belgravia neighbourhood. Standing on the edge of Eaton Square, Belgravia Townhouse is a true classic of Georgian architecture.

The timeless, understated elegance of the space is filled with traditional details and natural materials, such as the repeated soft undulating curves in the plaster ceiling grooves, wooden furniture, and marble sculpture elements, creating an overall atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. The resulting sublime, nostalgic interior presents a delicate balance of period architecture and modernism.

first transformed the upper two floors of the villa at the beginning of the renovation, opening up the gable roof to form a spacious duplex space full of natural light. The tactile plaster finish was used to highlight the exposed slope of the sloping roof. The newly built mezzanine was built with a cast iron spiral staircase, connecting the living room to the outdoor roof terrace. The spacious space has a 5-meter-high wooden book wall, which is inspired by the Karl Lagerfeld library. The entire space is covered with bookshelves from floor to ceiling, filled with thousands of exquisite picture books on art and design.

The seating area features classic Bauhaus armchairs designed by Walter Gropius in 1920 and Berger stools designed by Charlotte Perriand. A set of large ceramic table lamps designed by Luis Barragán are displayed next to a dark custom sofa with a semicircular wooden backrest, creating a sense of tranquility and peace in the space.

The layered combination of precious objects from different eras is an important factor in creating a comfortable, livable atmosphere. The intimate lounge is composed of mahogany paneled walls and shuttered windows, inspired by the exquisite woodwork of Milan's famous Villa Necchi in the 1930s. The large sofa bed is upholstered in gorgeous caramel-colored mohair designed by Pierre Frey. The antique African coffee table is made of Iroko wood and is paired with a tilted crystal ball lamp designed by modernist master Jacques Adnet, forming a visual experience that is both practical and artistic.

The guest room, decorated with dark green velvet upholstery, is a moody, contemplative space where time seems to stand still. The custom-made wooden curved headboard is coordinated with a pair of early 19th-century Empire-style stools inlaid with intricate marquetry that the designer purchased from a Danish antique dealer. The antique writing desk and chair designed by Pierre Jeanneret and the brass Art Deco table lamp designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 add color to the space. Vintage lithographs by George Braque and Jean Cocteau are the finishing touches of the bedroom.
