Squelette Design created a corporate office for Vin Foods in Ahmedabad, named ‘Grain & Greens,’ blending functionality with understated elegance through neutral eclecticism, metal accents, and natural elements.

Nestled in the heart of Ahmedabad’s upscale commercial district, the 2000 sq. ft. corporate office for Vin Foods, aptly named “Grain & Greens,” is a masterclass in blending functionality with understated elegance. The design concept draws from the company’s core materials and philosophy, translating their essence into a space that embodies neutral eclecticism. A south-facing facade opens the office to lush green views, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and nature, while flooding the interiors with natural light.

The space is planned around a U-shaped passage that ties together the MD cabins, meeting rooms, workstations, and other spaces with careful precision. Metal-clad walls with minimal linear detailing serve as a subtle nod to the metals used in the brand’s packaging, creating an identity that is both distinctive and rooted in the company’s ethos. The MD cabins, positioned on the same side, showcase grainy neutral marble surfaces that evoke sophistication, complemented by sleek glass partitions that maximize openness while maintaining privacy. Scarpa-inspired detailing at the edges of the glass partitions, along with rounded filleted corners, lends a refined and seamless aesthetic to the design.

Earthy tones and concrete textures dominate the interiors, setting a calm and grounded tone throughout. The passage ceiling, lowered deliberately to create a sense of intimacy, features aluminium louvers that discreetly house electrical and HVAC services while adding a clean, contemporary touch. Artworks of paddy fields and farms adorn the walls, celebrating the company’s connection to food grains and agriculture, and infusing the space with vibrancy and warmth.

At the entrance, a thoughtfully curated product display, paired with elegant seating, creates a bold yet welcoming statement, highlighting Vin Foods’ offerings while setting the tone for the workspace. Storage solutions are equally creative, with neutral veneer panels concealing file storage and floating metal racks adding a modern, lightweight aesthetic to functional spaces. Even service entry doors are concealed within the panelling, ensuring an uninterrupted, cohesive design language.

“Grain & Greens” is a harmonious blend of earthy elegance and contemporary design, reflecting the vision and values of Vin Foods while offering a workspace that is as efficient as it is inspiring. It stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful detailing and material interplay, elevating the everyday experience of those who inhabit the space.
