The long journey’s purpose is to meet oneself.In this complex modern world, Sugino aims to create a space where people can pause momentarily and converse with their inner selves. Through meticulous spatial design and high-quality dining experiences, we invite every customer to find their own moment of tranquility here. This contemporary nostalgia is not just a lifestyle choice, but also an exploration of one’s inner world of self-awareness.

过去既是价值传承，也是当下的完美快照。杉野品牌主营荆楚创意菜，位于武汉的咸安坊，是武汉历史文化街区之一。

The past is both a value inheritance and a perfect snapshot for the present. Sugino, a brand dedicated to Jing-Chu creative cuisine, is situated in Xian’anfang, one of Wuhan’s historic and cultural districts.

修缮与重建

Repair and reconstruction

由于咸安坊规划改造的特殊性，属于文旅局介入改造项目，部分楼房建筑划为文物保护，在改造的过程中有一定的局限性。并不想修复静态事物的客观存在和暴露衰败的迹象，以当代人物的视角，走进过去来去塑造空间。保留了带有时间印记的部分，“以旧修旧”的概念，延续过去，创造新的事物。

The revitalization of Xian’an Quarter operates under heritage conservation protocols overseen by Cultural Tourism authorities, with adaptive reuse constraints for designated protected structures. Rather than fossilizing architectural authenticity or theatrically accentuating decay, the intervention adopts temporal fluidity – curating spatial narratives where contemporary occupants dialogue with residual imprints. Selective preservation of time-encoded textures coalesces with insertions of restrained modernity, embodying a philosophy of “renewalthrough palimpsest” that bridges historical continuum with present-day inhabitation.

窗户透出的暖黄色灯光打破了秋日的清冷，树枝在窗前轻轻摇曳，树枝的影子映衬在石墙上，时间流逝。

Amber light streaming through the windows softened the autumn’s sharpness, with branch shadows quivering on ancient masonry—each tremor marking time’s quiet escape.

厨房被不锈钢板包裹，不同的灯光在不锈钢上映射出不规则的色块，可视化厨房使空间更通透的同时也提升了顾客的信任感。

The kitchen is encased in stainless steel panels, with the reflections of various lights creating irregular color patterns on the surfaces. The open kitchen enhances spatial transparency while boosting customer trust.

楼梯保持了原始状态，没有进行任何改动或修缮。因为楼梯本身属于原始空间中的一部分，具有重要的历史和文化价值，我们保留它的原貌。正是因为这个古老楼梯的存在，空间的气质才得以自然沉淀下来，赋予了整个环境一种时间流逝的厚重感与历史的深度感。这种未经修饰的真实质感，使得杉野的空间不仅承载着记忆与故事，也为每一位到访者带来了情感上的共鸣和怀旧的体验。

The staircase remains in its original state, with no alterations or restorations made. As an integral component of the original space possessing significant historical and cultural value, we have preserved its authentic condition. The presence of this aged staircase allows the space’s character to naturally accumulate, thus imbuing the environment with a patina of temporal passage and historical depth. Through its unadulterated material authenticity, Sugino’s space becomes a vessel for collective memory and narratives, while evoking nostalgic resonance and emotional connection in every visitor.

通过大块的结构穿插、新旧材料的交织运用、花艺植物的点缀以及餐位的有机划分，彩色玻璃是咸安坊原有的文化元素，但经过历史沉淀已经损坏，我们找到了同样材料进行了修复还原，多种元素共同创造出一个充满家的温度空间。

The narrative emerges through bold structural interplay – weathered timber bones interwoven with steel interventions, softened by botanical accents and organically zoned seating. Preserved stained-glass fragments, bearing Xian’an’s cultural DNA in their patina-laden surfaces, were meticulously restored using original pigment formulas. This choreography of material memory and contemporary insertions orchestrates spatial convivial domesticity.

浅色水磨石吧台与低饱和的绿色石材中岛台成为空间中的视觉焦点，冷暖色的对比使氛围更多变。

The Pale beige terrazzo bar counter and low-saturation green stone kitchen island become the visual focal points in the space. The contrast between warm and cool tones creates a versatile ambiance.

材质与色彩的赋予赋予空降更多文化与艺术内涵，通过现代简约的线条，柔和的灯光以及自然元素的融入，整个空间的呈现出一种沉静而富有力量的美感。

The application of materials and colors infuses the space with enhanced cultural and artistic depth. Through modern minimalist lines, soft lighting, and the integration of natural elements, the entire space manifests a serene yet powerful aesthetic beauty.

自然地融入到用餐环境中，带来了一种宁静的生机感。

Plants and floral arrangements are not merely decorative elements, but rather a living continuum within the narrative narrative. Growing organically in various corners, they seamlessly integrate into the dining environment, imbuing it with a tranquil vitality.
