KWANGHWA HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY DESIGNConcept and InspirationSynergy of life came from the idea of interactive and connectivity. The forms are inspired by the giraffe’s fur print, which shows irregularity with connections. the lines extracted from giraffe’s print create flow to the patterns, hence symbolize the main aim of a library:Interaction between human with knowledge.The concept is interpreted in the design by the zoning of spaces. Each area will be highlighted by either an organic, geometric shape or a mix of both. Space zoningis also emphasized with different shades of green colors as a guide to the users. Usage of natural timber materials will compliment with the green setting to create a sense of serenity in the space. Meanwhile, certain partitions and ceiling structures alongside the pathways are functioning to enhance flow movement in the library.
