Smartass Zhylianska健身房丨乌克兰基辅丨Smart Design Studio

Smartass Zhylyanska是Smartassnetwork的首个旗舰空间，位于基辅Zhylyanska街的一座前银行大楼内，总面积达 1000 平方米，分布在四层空间之中。

Smartass on Zhylyanska in Kyiv is the first flagship space of the international Smartassnetwork. This is a multifunctional space of 1000 m2, which is located on four floors in a former bank building.

一楼设有接待处、餐厅、美容沙龙和个人训练室。一楼是更衣室、拳击室和攀岩室。二楼有一个大型工作室，用于功能锻炼、自行车和芭蕾舞。整个地下一层是技术室、厨房、洗衣房和员工休闲区。一楼的设计灵感来自伦敦和纽约的私人俱乐部。我们为自己设定的主要任务是让客人感到舒适和安全–就像在家里一样。因此，我们选择了天然材料、深浅适度的黑色、赤陶色和蓝色作为背景。

On the ground floor there is a reception, restaurant,beauty salon and a personal training room. The first floor is given over to changing rooms, a Boxing andClimb room. On the second floor there is a large studio for functional workouts, as well as Cycling and Barre. The entire lower ground floor is occupied by technical rooms, a kitchen, a laundry room, and a staff recreation area. We took our inspiration for the design of the ground floor from London and New York private clubs. The main task that we set for ourselves was to make guests feel comfortable and safe — like at home. That is why natural materials, moderately dark and bright accents of black, terracotta and blue were chosen as the background.

这一层的健身工作室非常紧凑：每个约 60 平方米。1 号工作室（攀岩室）分为两个区域： 6 台 Versa 攀岩模拟器和用于自由重量训练的力量站包括自由重量器械。工作室的四面墙壁上都有镜子，营造出一种递归效果，扩大了空间。

The fitness studios on this floor are quite compact: about 60 m2 each. Studio 1 (Climb studio) is divided into two zones: 6 Versa Climber simulators and strength stations for working

with free weights. The studio has mirrors on all four walls, which create a recursion effect and expand the space.

Studio 2（拳击室）有传统的拳击袋，上面印有 Smartass 的图案。课程包括拳击回合和使用自由重量的力量练习。在规划过程中，我们必须考虑到这一点，以便于学员们围绕拳击袋移动，也便于教练进行训练，并用灯光营造出神奇的效果。灯光在每个工作室都起着核心作用。灯光的布置方式使每个工作站在课程的不同阶段都变成了一个微型舞台。每一位 Smartass 教练都了解灯光对人体神经系统的影响，并在训练中相应地使用灯光。

Studio 2 (Boxing studio) has traditional boxing bags with the Smartass graphics on them. Theclass consists of boxing rounds and power workwith free weights. This had to be taken into consideration during the planning process to make it convenient for the group to move around bags and for the trainer to conduct the workout and to create magic with the lights. Lighting plays acentral role in every studio. It is being placed insuch a manner, so that every working station turnsinto a micro stage during different phases of theclass. Every Smartass instructor is knowledgeable about the impact that the lighting has on the human nervous system and uses it accordingly during the workout.

二楼还有两个各 60 平方米的工作室和一个 130 平方米的大型多功能工作室。第 3 工作室（自行车室）有 23 辆自行车，放置在带集成照明的径向平台上。指导员的自行车放置在一个单独的有盖平台上，前面是一面大镜子，可以反射出集体的身影，参与者不仅可以看到自己，还可以看到身后的动态装置。后墙的装置由自行车车轮形状的装饰性金属元素和两侧的垂直集成照明组成。每个车轮都有一个独特的灯光变化场景，这是 Expolight 团队专门为该项目设计的，并获得了国际照明学会照明奖一等奖。有了这个程序，我们就可以创造出无限多的灯光场景，实现色彩及其动态的变化。这样，这个墙面装置就变成了一个有生命的有机体，可以根据课堂的不同阶段改变其速度、照明温度和颜色。

Second floor has two more studios 60 m2 each and a big multifunctional studio 130 m2. Studio 3 (Cycle studio) has 23 bikes placed on radial platforms with integrated lighting. The instructor ’s bike stands on a separate lid platform in front of the big mirror that reflects the group, where participants can see not only them but the dynamic installation behind them. The installation on the back wall consists of decorative metal elements in the shape of bicycle wheels and vertical integrated lighting on the sides. Each wheel has a unique scenario for the change of lights, which was created by the Expo light team specially for this project and which won the first prize on IES Illumination Award.

Thanks to this programming we can create an infinite number of lighting scenarios for the change of colors and its dynamics. This turns this wall installation into a living and breathing organism, which can change its speed, lighting temperature and colors according to the phase of the class.

4号工作室（游戏室）是这里最大的工作室，主要进行功能性锻炼。Smartass 设计公司的灵感来源于例如，位于圣潘克拉斯火车站旁的德国体育馆的灵感，并在地板上铺设了木质镶木地板。 这样就有机会将更多的健身工具融入锻炼中，使锻炼更加多样化。其中一面墙被加固并用砖块覆盖，为功能锻炼提供了额外的表面。

Studio 4 (Games studio) is the largest studio at this location, which conducts functional workouts. Smartass Design took its inspiration from the old school gymnastic halls (German Gymnasium, for example, which is situated next to the St Pancras railway station) and covered the floor with wooden parquet, which introduced an opportunity to integrate more fitness tools into workouts and to make them more varied. One of the walls is reinforced and is covered  with bricks, which creates an additional surface for the functional exercises.

5 号工作室（芭蕾舞室）——这是大楼健身区唯一一间有窗户的阳光教室。该工作室的课程不需要浓烈的色彩场景。而是采用自然光和柔和的色调。墙壁上贴满了古铜色的镜子。除了巧妙地布置光源，这还能让顾客在吧台附近锻炼时，如果靠近镜子，会显得更加黝黑和健美。天花板上安装了定制的吊灯，带有反射光源：当顾客坐在面向天花板的垫子上时，这样可以防止光束刺瞎他们的眼睛。

Studio 5 (Barre studio) — this is the only sunlit room with windows in the fitness zone of the building. Classes in this studio don’t require intense colorful scenarios.

Instead they call for natural lighting and muted shades. Walls are covered with bronze tinted mirrors. In addition to smartly placed light sources this makes clients look more tanned and ripped when they are placed close to the mirrors while exercising near the bar. Ceiling is covered with custom made chandeliers with reflected sources of light: this prevents the lighting beams to blind customers when they are placed at the mats facing the ceiling.

Smartass 设计公司始终致力于将其项目与室内和室外环境融为一体。因此，我们选择了基辅建筑史上沿用了几个世纪的赭黄色作为外墙颜色，并与街道上的其他建筑相得益彰。主入口处有一个黑色的顶棚，顶棚上有暖色的筒灯，建议在室外城市建筑中使用，因为事实证明它可以抑制焦虑情绪。

Smartass Design always aims to integrate their projects both into interiors and exterior surroundings.This led us to the choice of the facade color: yellow ochre, which was used in Kyiv’s history of buildings for centuries, and which went well with the rest of the buildings on the street. Main entrance has a black canopy with warm down lighting, which is being recommended for the exterior urbanistic use as it has been proven to suppress the anxiety.

入口两侧是带镜面墙和霓虹灯装置的玻璃盒子，这些装置会不时更换。外立面的墙壁和窗户装有动态照明装置，可根据白天和一年中的不同季节变换场景。

On both sides of the entrance are glass boxes with mirror walls and neon lighting installations, which are being changed occasionally. Walls and windows of the facade have dynamic lighting programmed to change scenarios in accordance to the daytime and season of the year.
