废墟中的欲望厨房

“Foodporn” is a fast food restaurant placed in Cetinjska, in the former brewery building that became anew and vibrant nightlife centre in Belgrade. We breathed a new life into this old demolished building,former accommodation facility for the workers, with a very challenging budget (up to 25,000 euros).The brief has been that “Foodporn” will be an American diner, open all night, serving customers fromsurrounding nightclubs. The second floor supposed to function as an after club with DJs and sounds ofdisco funk, electronic and electro swing.

Our interior design concept highlighted the inextricable bond between the food and corporeality,between the hunger and sexuality, both core human instincts. It communicates sexuality through foodin a witty and ironic way with the help of materialisation, colours, inscriptions, messages written on thepods and walls, video projections of people drooling over their food.We used picture of Julie Child, who with her bare hand dissects a chicken in her show (today all chefshave pre-cut meat in their shows) as well as the selection of various old items to complete the wholeidea. We applied reclaimed and recycled materials and objects.

The organisation of the space is subordinated to the kitchen that occupies the central part of the spaceand is open to the views of the guests where the process of cooking can be seen. Near the kitchen is aclosed box auxiliary space used for kitchen utensils.
