空中迷你城市 | 垂直街道景观

Vertical StreetscapeFor my final University project I worked on a mixed-use multi-storey building proposal. The general concept was to raise a typical street above ground, creating a miniature city up in the air. To accomplish this I stacked nine levels worth of pre-fabricated modules on top of each other. They were horizontally offset in order to allow room for twisting and turning walkways, that made up the 'streets'. The modules were divided into residential units and retail stores. The bottom levels of the building are made of cast concrete, in order to provide a wide and heavy base to support the lightweight building above.In designing this project I used a large scale model that helped me to visualise my ideas.
