Named Tor Alva, the 30-metre-high tower is the tallest 3D-printed tower in the world, according to its creators.

In other architecture news, Kéré Architecture unveiled a brick mausoleum for Burkina Faso's former president.

Designed to commemorate Thomas Sankara, who was assassinated in the 1980s, the mausoleum in Burkina Faso was built using locally-sourced laterite and clay bricks.

Alex Chinneck created an installation for Clerkenwell Design Week

In London, Clerkenwell Design Week took place this week. Among the highlights was an undulating house designed by Alex Chinneck and a 3D-printed "water corridor" by Arthur Mamou-Mani.

Dyson unveiled the "world's slimmest vacuum cleaner"

In other design news, technology company Dyson revealed the cordless PencilVac vacuum cleaner, which it described as "the broom of the future".

It is billed as the "world's slimmest vacuum cleaner", with a body only 38 millimetres in diameter.

We interviewed Forensic Architecture founder Eyal Weizman, who spoke about his work supporting the ongoing International Court of Justice (ICJ) case against Israel over its military action in the Palestinian territory.
