The restoration of the ancient dam in the West bank of Wolong Lake allows to create a green corridor and to separate a lotus-planted channel from the lake. The first beneficial function of wetland buffer zone is that it captures pollution from the villages. The restored dam is also a protection against flooding risks for the villages nearby.
