Hustle, bustle and muscle. On the surface, Lavo is an Italian brasserie that has the feel and ease of a classic European bistro, with a nightclub below it. It has an Italian edge, but at its core the space feels like a part of New York’s history. Experientially, the goal was to bring the hustle of a brasserie to the bustle of midtown, and bring muscle to the nightclub downstairs, giving the whole space life. And if you saw the size of the subwoofers in the club downstairs, you’d understand what we mean when we say muscle. This place is not your Daddy’s meatball.
