Beihouse历史建筑修复及改造丨黎巴嫩贝鲁特

在贝鲁特Gemmayzeh街区的中心地带——距离2020年港口爆炸事故现场仅几步之遥——Beihouse以一种低调而激进的方式，展开了一场修复与重生的实践。该项目由Dagher Hanna & Partners设计，将一组19世纪黎巴嫩传统住宅及其共享庭院重新构想为一处私人会员俱乐部。这既是一项保护工程，也是一种当代介入——Beihouse是对断裂的回应，以关怀、精准与远见塑造而成。

In the heart of Beirut’s Gemmayzeh neighborhood—just steps from the site of the 2020 port explosion—Beihouse stands as a quietly radical act of restoration and renewal. Designed by Dagher Hanna & Partners, this project reimagines a cluster of 19th-century Lebanese homes and their shared courtyard as a private members’ club. At once a preservation effort and a contemporary intervention, Beihouse is a response to rupture, shaped by care, precision, and vision.

三栋濒临坍塌的历史建筑经过结构加固，并被悉心改造：其中两栋加建了上层空间，另一栋则新增了一个双层挑高体量。一个新建的“漂浮露台”在旧建筑与新体块之间搭起桥梁，营造出过去与当下之间模糊而连贯的建筑语言。交通动线层层叠加、精心布置：耐候钢楼梯、观景电梯与普通电梯、以及钢结构步桥将三个体量组织成一个完整的整体。

Three historic buildings—once on the brink of collapse—have been structurally reinforced and respectfully adapted. Two gained upper floors; the third expanded with a double-height addition. A new floating terrace bridges the existing and the new, creating a sense of architectural continuity that blurs the boundary between past and present. Circulation is layered and deliberate: corten steel staircases, panoramic and standard elevators, and steel bridges connect the ensemble into one unified whole.

设计语言有意保留对比：本地砂岩与木材对话高性能玻璃与锈蚀的耐候钢，后者唤起临港材料的记忆，也赋予新建体量当下的质感。三层中空玻璃窗与可开启立面提高了空间的舒适度与隔音性，这是在城市高密度环境中不可或缺的要素。

The design language is intentionally contrasting: local sandstone and timber meet high- performance glazing and oxidized corten steel, which evokes the material legacy of the nearby port while anchoring the new volumes firmly in the now. Triple-glazed windows and operable facades enhance comfort and acoustic insulation, essential in the city’s dense urban fabric.

项目的核心是一座重新激活的庭院——种满绿植的花园中，有成熟的大树、陶制花盆，以及一棵已有数百年历史的橄榄树，将场所牢牢扎根于时间之中。这个户外空间成为新功能的锚点：一个可完全向庭院打开的酒吧、一间餐厅与休闲区、创意工作室、办公空间及展览空间——这些功能被巧妙地分布于三栋相互连接的建筑之中。

At the project’s heart is the reactivated courtyard: a planted garden with mature trees, earthen pots, and a centuries-old olive tree that roots the site in time. This outdoor space becomes the anchor for the new program—a bar that opens completely to the courtyard, a restaurant and lounge, creative studios, offices, and exhibition spaces—all carefully arranged across the three interconnected structures.

建筑并未掩盖时间留下的痕迹，而是将其坦然呈现。原始的石墙与现代的新介入并置，每一次新添加都可清晰辨识，避免仿古，而选择一种诚实的叠加策略。Beihouse不试图抹去历史，而是在历史之上继续书写。

Rather than conceal the scars of time, the architecture makes them visible. Original stone walls stand next to modern insertions. Every new gesture is legible, avoiding imitation in favor of honest layering. Beihouse does not erase history—it adds to it.

该项目得以实现，源于一位富有远见的业主拒绝眼看这几栋建筑被夷为平地。在Dagher Hanna & Partners和伦敦室内设计事务所Linda Boronkay Studio的合作下，这一设计任务不仅仅是修缮，更是打造一个汇聚、创造与延续之地。当地工匠受邀参与，以传统技艺重建原始细节，让遗产不仅被铭记，更得以延续与体验。

The project was driven by a visionary client who refused to see the buildings lost to demolition. Partnering with Dagher Hanna & Partners and London-based interior designers Linda Boronkay Studio, the brief called for more than repair—it imagined a place of gathering, creativity, and continuity. Local artisans were commissioned to reconstruct original details using traditional techniques, ensuring that heritage is not just remembered, but lived.

Beihouse is now a sanctuary within the city: a resilient, elegant, and deeply contextual reawakening of place. In a time when heritage is so often endangered or commodified, it offers another path—one rooted in memory, shaped by design, and open to transformation.
