Introduction

在东山口的拐角处，悄然生出一颗树——yotree cafe。 这个空间如同名字般有趣，隐于二楼，需沿着历史沉淀的楼梯上行，没有耀眼的招牌，却凭借一缕浓郁的咖啡香气，静静唤起每一位行者的好奇。正如那句「酒香不怕巷子深」，yotree是一方掩藏于浓厚生活气息的角落，等待懂得品味的人慢慢发现。

At the corner of Dongshankou, a tree has quietly sprung up: yotree cafe. This space is as interesting as its name suggests, hidden on the second floor, up a staircase steeped in history, without a dazzling signboard, but with a strong aroma of coffee, quietly arousing the curiosity of every walker. As the saying goes, “Fragrant wine is not afraid of deep alleys”, yotree is a corner hidden in the rich flavor of life, waiting to be discovered by those who know how to taste.

yotree——「有趣」亦「有tree」，三十株绿影在窗前摇曳，与狭长巷道相望，尽显夹层的幽闭与生机，共谱一曲城市与自然的呢喃。

yotree is both “interesting” and “with tree”, with thirty green trees swaying in front of the window, looking at the narrow alleyway, revealing the seclusion and vitality of the mezzanine floor, and composing a melody between the city and nature.

Concept

在选址阶段，这处不起眼的夹层空间吸引了我们。低矮的层高和狭长的形态，它并非典型意义上的优质地段，然而正是这份被动赋予了它独特优势。在被低矮的层高与狭长的夹层格局所掩盖之下，这个退化的空间散发着独特的可能性。当大多数人都将目光投向易于驾驭的空间，我们却看见了它与生俱来的张力与情感厚度。正是在这样的不起眼中，对空间本质的敏锐洞察成为设计塑造的起点，我们将它的潜能化为动人的场景，不仅实现了对低价值场域的重构，也展现了材料与结构在空间维度上的叙事力量，让人得以在最意外的角落，读懂空间的潜能与生命。

This unassuming mezzanine space attracted us during the site selection phase. With its low ceiling height and long, narrow form, it is not a prime location in the typical sense of the word, but it is this shortcoming that gives it its unique advantage. Hidden by its low height and long mezzanine pattern, this degraded space exudes unique possibilities. While most people focus on spaces that are easy to navigate, we see its inherent tension and emotional thickness. It is in this inconspicuousness that a keen insight into the nature of space becomes the starting point for design shaping, and we turn its potential into a moving scene, not only realizing the reconstruction of low-value fields, but also demonstrating the narrative power of materials and structures in the spatial dimension, allowing people to read the potential and life of the space in the most unexpected corners.

抛开对咖啡店固有的想象，让它在复古与先锋之间自在游走。并非单纯打造视觉的秀场，我们更用味觉、嗅觉、触觉乃至听觉，编织出一场沉浸式的感官漫游。一道狭长的空间延伸开去，低矮而紧凑的空间，让人习惯性地放慢脚步。尺度与秩序共同定义了「探索」的节奏。仿佛为我们的思绪拢起了一道无形的屏障，让人能够在寂静中，全身心感受那一缕缓缓升腾的咖啡香，品味那份与材质、光影和情绪共同谱写的温度与真实。

Leaving behind the stereotypical image of a coffee shop, we let it roam freely between the retro and the avant-garde. Instead of simply creating a visual showplace, we use taste, smell, touch and even hearing to weave an immersive sensory roam. A long and narrow space extends out, low and compact, making people slow down their steps habitually. Scale and order together define the rhythm of exploration. It is as if an invisible barrier has been gathered for our thoughts, so that in the silence, one can feel the slowly rising fragrance of coffee, and savor the temperature and reality co-written with materials, light and shadow, and emotions.

整体空间运用居中对称与中轴美学布局，赋予了空间一种内在的秩序与静谧感，同时让咖啡的制作、品味变得像一种缓慢的仪式。三十棵树的绿色光影，在窗外静默摇曳，也在室内投下斑驳的节奏，将自然的呼吸带入这间咖啡实验室，让城市的烟火与森林的静谧在此交汇——最终汇聚成一场真正「有趣」的感官盛宴。让这里像一间实验室，温柔地收拢五感。

The symmetry of the overall space and the aesthetic layout of the central axis give the space an inner order and a sense of quietness, while making the making and tasting of coffee like a slow ritual. The green light and shadow of thirty trees, silently swaying outside the window, also casts a mottled rhythm indoors, bringing the breath of nature into this coffee laboratory, where the fireworks of the city and the quietness of the forest meet – ultimately converging into a truly interesting feast for the senses. Let this place be like a laboratory, gently gathering the five senses.

Expression

受老居民楼的层高限制，面对原始场地的先天局限，我们选择将这些不完美转化为叙事工具。长条形的夹层凭借一侧三十株绿树的外景，形成了隐秘而富有生机的对比，使环境在被动与主动之间找到平衡。我们利用原始的空间结构，将「退化」转变为一种刻意雕琢的美学策略，这种策略不仅回应了场地原有的粗粝，也能通过设计强化空间的秩序。 步入yotree，在低矮的空间中，光影间的明暗交替悄然跃动，每一寸高度都被我们化作含蓄之美的刻度，让空间在压抑中淬炼出内敛而深沉的韵律。

Restricted by the height of the old residential building and the inherent limitations of the original site, we chose to turn these imperfections into a narrative tool. With the outside view of thirty green trees on one side, the long mezzanine creates a hidden and vibrant contrast, allowing the environment to find a balance between passive and active. By utilizing the original spatial structure, we transform degradation into a deliberate aesthetic strategy that not only responds to the original coarseness of the site, but also reinforces the order of the space through design. Stepping into yotree, in the low-ceilinged space, the alternation of light and shadow quietly jumps, and every inch of the height is turned into a scale of subtle beauty, so that the space is quenched with an introverted and deep rhythm in the midst of the oppression.

我们克制地处理细节，一字长条的空间如同一条被时间拉伸的走廊，由开端的吧台，到复古家具的有序排列，再到门后的甜品研发区，环环相扣。一气呵成的布局没有任何刻意的视觉引导，流畅的动线自然将人们的目光和脚步引向下一个节点。秩序感与材质肌理交织，悄然揭示空间的真正面貌。整个空间沿中轴对称展开，长方体的吧台立在空间的开端，安静而笃定，像一台精准的咖啡研究装置。蓝绿色锈蚀饰板包裹着吧台，如同金属经年累月后的呼吸，成为空间中一块独特的色彩注脚。

We handle the details with restraint, and the one-lined space is like a corridor stretched by time, from the bar at the beginning to the orderly arrangement of vintage furniture, and then to the dessert research and development area behind the door, which is interlocked. The one-stop layout has no intentional visual guidance, and the smooth line of motion naturally leads people’s eyes and feet to the next node. The sense of order is interwoven with the texture of the materials, quietly revealing the true face of the space. The entire space unfolds symmetrically along the center axis, and the rectangular bar stands at the beginning of the space, quiet and sure, like a precise coffee research device. The blue-green rusted veneer wraps around the bar, just like the breath of metal after years, becoming a unique color footnote in the space.

材质的纯粹性将繁杂隐去，只保留对研磨节奏与冲煮温度的精细把控，大尺度的吧台既为运营带来灵活性，又以科技感和仪式感与复古的材质肌理在此交汇碰撞。沿着动线的中轴，顾客的视线被自然引向空间深处那扇沉默而有力的门扉，层次分明却又流畅连贯，让新旧交织的物性与意趣在静谧中悄然闪耀。

The purity of the material hides the complexity and only retains the fine control of the grinding rhythm and brewing temperature. The large-scale bar not only brings flexibility to the operation, but also collides with the vintage material texture with a sense of technology and ceremony. Along the central axis of the dynamic line, customers’ eyes are naturally led to the silent and powerful doorway in the depths of the space, which is layered yet smooth and coherent, allowing the physicality and interest of the old and the new to intertwine and shine quietly in the silence.

在吧台之外，素面裸露的水泥墙静静承载着时光的痕迹，裂纹与斑驳交织成一幅不经意的时间画卷。蓝绿色的金属腐蚀感，悄然溶解了新旧之间的界限。这些自然衰变的痕迹与旧木材和锈蚀金属的质感交织，呈现出建筑骨架的美学，构建了一种内敛的秩序感，在静谧中潜藏着强烈的张力。

Beyond the bar, the plain exposed concrete wall quietly carries the traces of time, cracks and mottled intertwined into an unintentional picture of time. The blue-green metallic corrosion quietly dissolves the boundary between the old and the new. These traces of natural decay intertwine with the texture of old wood and rusted metal, presenting the aesthetics of the architectural skeleton, building a sense of introverted order, with strong tension lurking in the silence.

复古木质家具与原始建筑墙面、金属饰面相互映衬，构建出低调而深邃的质感。每一件家具的线条都简洁而恰到好处，避免了复杂的装饰，彰显了极简之美。做旧处理的木质与蓝绿色金属饰面的碰撞，不仅增强了空间的整体感，也赋予了它温暖与亲切的氛围。与这份温润相对的，是吧台上冷峻而精密的科技感，温暖的手工与理性的控制，在空间中巧妙融合，在互动中找到了平衡点。

Vintage wood furniture mirrors the original architectural walls and metal finishes, building an understated and deep texture. The lines of each piece of furniture are simple and just right, avoiding complex decorations and highlighting the beauty of minimalism. The collision of aged-finished wood and blue-green metal finishes not only enhances the overall sense of space, but also gives it a warm and intimate atmosphere. Opposite to this warmth is the cold and precise sense of technology on the bar. The warmth of craftsmanship and rational control are skillfully blended in the space, and a balance is found in the interaction.

带着岁月的痕迹与温暖的触感的老木，如同记忆中那些最安稳的片段。不过分修饰的材质也体现了设计上的可持续性，老木材所达到时间感的表达，也确保了材质的环保与再利用性。裸露的墙面，斑驳的老木，仿佛抚过时间本身的温度；咖啡冲煮装置宛如实验室里的精密仪器，缓缓流淌的咖啡液放大了每一次萃取的认真，敬畏每一丝苦与甘的平衡；咖啡的醇香在老木的纹理间来回涌动，温润而清晰。让人一进门便被那股馥郁所包裹。

Old wood with the traces of age and warmth of touch is like those most peaceful moments in memory. The unadorned material also reflects the sustainability of the design, and the expression of the sense of time achieved by the old wood also ensures the environmental protection and reuse of the material. The bare wall, mottled old wood, as if caressing through the temperature of time itself; coffee brewing device is like a precision instrument in the laboratory, slowly flowing coffee liquid amplifies the seriousness of each extraction, in awe of each trace of the balance between bitter and sweet; the mellow aroma of coffee surging back and forth between the texture of the old wood, warm and clear. 甜品研发区通过一扇与吧台相对应的门，与其他空间相隔离，既保持了操作的私密性，又不影响空间的连贯性。门的设计保留了操作的私密性，使得整体空间更加沉浸与专注，又不会打破整体的空间连贯性，巧妙地让空间呈现出一条无缝的感官体验流线。

The dessert research and development area is separated from the rest of the space by a door that corresponds to the bar, maintaining the privacy of the operation without affecting the coherence of the space. The design of the door retains the privacy of the operation, making the overall space more immersive and focused, without breaking the overall spatial coherence, skillfully allowing the space to present a seamless flow of sensory experience.

柔和的暖光轻抚墙面，拉近了人与材料的距离，灯光与金属的质感交织，创造出一种既沉静又充满生命力的氛围，让人在这里找到宁静与归属。磨豆机的齿轮转动，水滴落入冲煮器的清脆，杯底轻触台面的余音，低沉而温柔的回响，伴以整个空间，组成了一首关于仪式与日常的交响。材质本身的表达成为了空间情绪与记忆的载体，让人在这里感受到空间与时间的深刻对话。

The soft warm light caresses the wall, bringing people closer to the material, and the intertwining of the light and the texture of the metal creates an atmosphere that is both calm and full of life, allowing people to find peace and belonging here. The gears of the bean grinder turn, the crispness of water drops falling into the brewer, the aftertaste of the bottom of the cup gently touching the countertop, the low and gentle reverberation, accompanied by the whole space, forms a symphony about ritual and daily life. The expression of the material itself becomes the carrier of the emotions and memories of the space, allowing people to feel the profound dialog between space and time here.

结语

Conclusion

于旧木与水泥的沉静中，yotree被一种无形的温度包裹，悄然催化着人与咖啡之间更深的默契。yotree不仅是一家咖啡店，更是一方隐匿于居民楼处的感官实验室，它不仅是对空间的物理塑造，更是对顾客感官的深切调动。

In the silence of old wood and concrete, yotree is wrapped in an invisible temperature, quietly catalyzing a deeper understanding between people and coffee. yotree is not only a coffee shop, but also a sensory laboratory hidden in a residential building, which not only shapes the space physically, but also deeply mobilizes customers’ senses.

新旧材质在此相融，每一次呼吸都充满醇厚香气，每一次驻足都被光影轻诉，最本真的触感与含蓄的设计语言共同以最纯粹的方式，让五感与时间在空间细节里默契碰撞、温柔延展。在时光流转、斑驳肌理与沉积记忆中，用感官去解读、去体验。这里不仅是消费场所，更是触发思考与心灵共鸣的所在。yotree宛如一场被压缩过的感官旅程，不过于张扬，又足够让人驻足。

New and old materials are blended here, every breath is filled with mellow aroma, every stop is gently told by light and shadow, the most genuine touch and subtle design language together in the purest way, letting the five senses and time collide in the details of the space in a tacit understanding and gentle extension. In the flow of time, mottled texture and deposited memories, the senses are used to interpret and experience. This is not only a place for consumption, but also a place for triggering thoughts and spiritual resonance. yotree is like a compressed sensory journey, not overly ostentatious, but enough to make people stop.
