背景

Background

岳阳，长江之滨，洞庭之畔，自古舟楫云集。古镇街河口，扼守岳阳“南大门”，曾为湘鄂赣三省商贸枢纽。昔时舟楫穿梭，渔船成列，码头边吆喝、议价声此起彼伏。渔民将湖鲜摆入竹篓，商贩沿街售蟹贩鱼，烟火与生计交织，铸就独特水岸市井风情。

Yueyang, situated along the banks of the Yangtze River and the shores of Dongting Lake, has thrived as a bustling hub of boat activity since ancient times. The ancient town of Jiehekou, standing guard as Yueyang’s “South Gate,” once served as a pivotal commercial nexus connecting Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces. In its heyday, vessels shuttled through waterways, fishing boats lined the docks, and the air resonated with the lively calls of vendors haggling along the bustling piers. Fishermen placed their freshly harvested lake bounty into bamboo baskets while merchants peddled crabs and fish along the streets—the intertwining of everyday life and livelihood forging a distinctive waterfront atmosphere alive with the spirit of the marketplace.

选址位于岳阳临港工业遗址公园附近的老厂房。前方为工业发展修缮的码头遗址公园，后方则为在时代发展中停滞的老城中村，位置恰好处于城市发展进程中的交界线上。

The site is an old factory building near the Port Industrial Heritage Park in Yueyang. In front lies the wharf heritage park restored for industrial development; behind is an old urban village stagnated during development. The location precisely sits on the borderline of the city’s developmental process.

设计理念

Design concept

在工业化城市进程中，效率优先的标准化思维往往遮蔽了普通百姓鲜活的生活状态。商业空间如何真正融入日常，如何展现坚韧而蓬勃的民间生命力，成为我们设计的核心关切。基于岳阳深厚的历史文化背景，特别是其作为水岸商埠的灵魂，旨在重现岳阳独特的市井风貌，追寻街河口渔市码头消逝的历史记忆。设计理念围绕“码头渔市”与“菜市场”文化展开，致力于空间化地呈现码头渔民群体的生产与生活方式。在这个文化地标型餐饮空间中，建筑绝非单纯的容器，而是承载渔民捕鱼、停靠、交易、劳作乃至居住场景的现实映射。通过一系列精心设计的场景，我们力图捕捉并再现那股容易被忽视的、源于市井的旺盛生命力，构筑独特的空间记忆点。

In the course of industrial urbanization, the efficiency-first, standardized mindset often overshadows the vivid living conditions of ordinary people. How can commercial space truly integrate into daily life? How can it reveal the tenacious and vigorous energy of the folk? These became the core concerns of our design.

Rooted in Yueyang’s profound historical and cultural background, particularly its soul as a waterside trading port, this project aims to revive Yueyang’s unique street atmosphere and reclaim the fading historical memories of Jiehekou’s fishing wharf. The design concept revolves around the cultures of the “wharf fishing market” and “fresh market,” committed to spatially presenting the production and lifestyle of the wharf’s fishing community.

In this landmark cultural dining space, the building is far from just a container; it serves as a tangible reflection of scenes from the fishermen’s lives – fishing, docking, trading, laboring, and even residing. Through a series of meticulously designed scenarios, we strive to capture and recreate that potent, easily overlooked vitality born from the streets, constructing unique spatial memory points.

重现「百年渔码头」的历史氛围，增强情境代入感。将固船器、原石台阶此类防涨潮的工具置放在入口阶梯两侧，并配备沙包、救生圈等海上救援工具。

Recreate the historical ambiance of the “Century-Old Fishing Wharf,” enhancing the sense of immersion. Place tools for flood control, like boat fenders and rough stone steps, on both sides of the entrance staircase. Equip the area with marine rescue tools like sandbags and lifebuoys.

渔民的生活状态随水而变，鱼汛决定着他们的节奏，码头则是他们活动的核心。外摆模仿渔民临时搭建的居所，用镀锌管栏杆河木质结构，还原渔家晒鱼、晾衣的场景。下层则为码头防汛使用的原石砌筑。设立火车站搬运区，展现旧时码头火车货运的历史联系。

Fishermen’s lives shift with the waters; the fishing season dictates their rhythm, the wharf is the core of their activities. The outdoor seating mimics their makeshift dwellings, using galvanized pipe railings and wooden structures to recreate scenes of fish salting and laundry drying. The lower part uses rubble masonry originally for wharf flood prevention. Establish a railroad freight handling area, showcasing the historical link to past wharf freight train transport.

入口斜插入建筑，自然的形成散台区与包间区的区隔，巧妙的帮助访客指引了空间中的动线。

The entrance diagonally inserts into the building, naturally forming a separation between the casual seating area and private dining rooms, subtly guiding visitor circulation through the space.

码头尾部的外墙，显眼的标识能够让沿岸的“渔民”清晰的看到可停靠的街河口“码头”。

The exterior wall at the wharf’s tail end features conspicuous signage, allowing “fishermen” along the shore to clearly spot the dockable “wharf” of Jiehekou.

内部空间主要围绕“渔港生活”展开，以场景化的方式再现岳阳码头的市井日常。空间布局遵循渔村的自然生长逻辑，融合市集、聚落、生活场景等多重元素，让顾客在行走和用餐的过程中，感受到鲜活的渔港氛围。

The interior space primarily unfolds around “life in the fishing port,” scenically recreating the everyday hustle and bustle of Yueyang’s wharf. The spatial layout follows the natural growth logic of a fishing village, blending multiple elements like markets, settlements, and living scenes, enabling customers to feel the vibrant fishing port atmosphere while walking and dining.

将“选鱼”、“配菜”、“交易”等过程还原到空间中。菜摊与鱼档被布置为核心区域，顾客可亲手挑选活鱼及食材，并送至后厨烹饪。不同档口散发着各自的市井气息。

Incorporate processes like “selecting fish,” “preparing ingredients,” and “trading” back into the space. Vegetable stalls and fish stands are arranged as the core area; customers can handpick live fish and fresh ingredients, delivering them to the kitchen to be cooked. Each stall emanates its own distinct market vibe.

油铺、米铺、干货铺、小吃档，复古的招牌、斑驳的墙面、手写的红纸价格单，这些都仿佛是从旧时码头移植而来。特别是老式酒铺，成排的酒坛子散发着淡淡酒香，让人想起曾经渔民聚集在码头小酌、畅谈湖上见闻的场景。

Oil shops, rice shops, dried goods stores, snack stalls—vintage signboards, weathered walls, handwritten red paper price tags—all seem transplanted from the old wharf. Especially the old-style liquor shop, with rows of wine jars emitting a faint aroma, evoking scenes of fishermen gathering at the wharf for a casual drink, sharing stories about the lake.

人们围坐交谈，碗筷碰撞间传递着渔村的生活气息。

People sit around talking, the clatter of bowls and chopsticks transmitting the essence of village life.

在核心用餐区，我们保留了原建筑桁架，并有意开出屋顶的天窗，让一棵真实的大树生长其间。它不在室外，却也不完全被收纳于室内。阳光、风与季节透过开口洒落，构成了这里最天然的情绪装置——让人一边用餐，一边感受到时间在枝桠之间流动的温度。

In the core dining area, we preserved the original building trusses and intentionally created a skylight in the roof, allowing a real, large tree to grow within. It’s not outdoors, yet not entirely enclosed indoors either. Sunlight, wind, and the changing seasons filter down through the opening, forming the most natural emotional installation here—letting diners feel the passage of time as warmth flowing through the branches while they eat.

墙面上的摄影作品、装裱的老物件——老式打字机、收音机、渔民的工具…这些藏在岁月里的“文物”，串联起码头与渔村的历史记忆。

Photographic works on the walls, framed old objects—old typewriters, radios, fishermen’s tools—these “artifacts” hidden within time weave together the historical memories of the wharf and fishing village.

微微外探的平台，像极了旧时码头渔民远望湖面风云的地方。借由建筑本身的几何关系，自然形成了一种空间的向外张力。这里不只是眺望外部，更是向内收拢。

The slightly protruding platform resembles the spots where fishermen of old would gaze out, watching the weather over the lake. Leveraging the building’s inherent geometry, it naturally creates an outward spatial tension. This space isn’t just for looking out; it also draws the gaze inward.

以最真实的质感承载记忆。粗粝的砖墙、斑驳的白墙，仿佛渔村居所的缩影。

Carrying memories with the most authentic textures. Rough brick walls, weathered white walls, seem like a microcosm of the fishermen’s dwellings.

街河口渔市，在工业遗址上重燃市井烟火。它以空间为笔，重现码头渔民的鲜活场景与坚韧的生命力，让被标准化城市进程模糊的个体生活印记清晰再现。这不仅是对历史文化的致敬，更是在奔流向前的新时代与被遗忘的市井生活之间，建立起有力的链接点。它是对现代商业空间如何承载真实生活脉搏的探索——让体验型商业在此生根发芽，为岳阳续写一段充满人间温度的水岸记忆。

Jiehekou Fishing Market reignites the fire of street life upon industrial heritage. Using space as its brush, it vividly recreates scenes from the wharf fishermen’s vibrant existence and tenacious vitality, bringing back into sharp focus individual life imprints blurred by standardized urbanization. This stands not merely as a tribute to historical culture, but as a powerful link forged between fast-flowing modernity and forgotten street livelihoods. It explores how contemporary commercial spaces can embody the true pulse of life—letting experiential commerce ake root here, weaving for Yueyang a riverbank memory brimming with human warmth.
