成都国际马术中心丨中国大兴丨四周建筑

成都马术中心是四周建筑设计的第四个马术场地。不同于之前设计的城市型场地，新的马术中心在远郊，完全镶嵌在起伏的缓坡稀树原野中。

The Chengdu Equestrian Center is the fourth equestrian venue designed by Atelier Sizhou. Unlike the urban venues we designed previously , the new equestrian center is located in a remote suburb, completely embedded in the undulating gentle slope and the field with sparse trees.

项目整体预算控制严格，需要在很有限的范围内完成诸多功能。基于造价控制和场所氛围，并且延续部分我们常用的马术设计和品牌语言，设计策略是轻盈，透明，不完全封闭，全然和环境交互。我们将功能布置于依地形分为的不同标高台地，形成错落，随之控制场地整理成本，并在几个标高场地中分别形成赛场，交通，看台。不同功能在不同标高，形成不同的观演关系。▼原始场地标高分析，analysis of original site elevation © 四周建筑

As the overall project budget was limited, many functions needed to be accomplished within a very limited scope. Based on the cost control and environmental atmosphere of the project, and continue some of our commonly used equestrian design and brand language, therefore the design strategy was to be light, transparent, not completely enclosed, and fully interactive with the environment. We arrange the functions on different elevation divided according to the terrain, forming a staggered layout, thus controlling the cost of site arrangement, and forming the competition field, circulation and stands in several elevation respectively. Different functions are at different heights, forming different viewing relationships.

利用现有的景区商业用房改造成接待中心，强化原有建筑的空间优势和利用效能。

Use the existing commercial houses in the site to transform them into reception centers to enhance the space advantages and utilization efficiency of the original buildings.

马厩及后勤功能在考虑组织连接的高效后呈L型布局，以钢结构作为主体，红砖墙体是可维护构件。高度压低，屋檐外挑，挡光，遮雨的情况下保证下部维护结构和上部屋顶脱开通风，通廊正中采光。向园区一侧开窗洞以使马能够和人发生互动；阳光的进入让马厩享有平和美好的氛围。

The stable and equestrian service compound are L-shaped after considering the high efficiency of organization and connection，with steel structure as the main body and red brick wall as the maintainable component. The building height is lowered, eaves picking out to block the sunlight and rain to ensure the lower enclosure structure and upper roof are separated for ventilation, and the middle of the corridor to let in the light. Window openings on the side of the stable allow the horses to interact with people; the entry of sunlight gives the stables a calm and beautiful atmosphere.

马术场地分为两块，其一为室外主赛事场地，其二为室内训练场暨热身场。利用场地间的高差在两块场地西侧设置观众席，同时，斜向高差也为大跨结构的基座提供反力和支撑。▼功能平面图，functional floor plan © 四周建筑

The equestrian venue is divided into two parts, one is the outdoor main competition venue, and the other is the indoor training ground and warm-up field. Using the height difference between the venues, spectators are set up on the west sides of the two venues. At the same time, the oblique height difference also provides reaction and support for the base of the large-span structure.

由于整体宽度达到50米，为轻薄，与结构团队决定采用张悬梁形式，弯曲的拉索和直线的钢梁形成对比，视觉上减弱大跨带来的梁高压迫感。非对称的三角形大跨结构朝向远处石象湖的方向倾斜，暗示远方的自然才是我们的来源与归宿。每跨结构间，用波纹板和聚碳酸酯板交替形成透光带，使人虽处超大的屋顶遮盖下，仍能感觉放松，透气，看见树木和蓝天，感受于自然中运动的愉悦。

Since the overall width reaches 50 meters, in order to make the design lighter and thinner, after discussing with the structural team, we decided to adopt the form of a hanging beam. The curved cable contrasts with the straight steel beam, which visually weakens the high pressure of the beam brought about by the large span. The asymmetrical triangular span structure is tilted towards the direction of the distant Shixiang Lake, it implies that the nature in the distance is our source and destination. Between each span, corrugated boards and polycarbonate boards are alternately used to form light transmittance bands, so that even though one is under the cover of an oversized roof, one can still feel relaxed, breathable, see trees and blue sky, and feel the pleasure of exercising in the midst of nature.

马不单只是人类的工具，更是伙伴和生活的一部分。在场地中，就是在林盘中，在原野中。

Horses are not only tools for humans, but also partners and part of life. In this field, it’s in the Sichuan Linpan and in the wilderness.
