TiTi's House: A Cozy Sanctuary for a Young Family – Amidst the bustling life of District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, TiTi's House is a serene retreat for a young family of five—a couple and their three children. Though the home occupies only 50m², it does not compromise privacy or comfort within its narrow, urban footprint. Designed to provide individual space for each member while maintaining a sense of togetherness, the house fosters an environment where love and respect are deeply felt through every corner.

Design Inspiration: Balancing Connection and Privacy – TiTi's House tells a gentle story of small, cozy homes. Cubic volumes stack upon one another, with slanted rooftops reminiscent of the miniature houses from childhood memories—those moments spent enthusiastically constructing small forts and personal hideaways. Each child has a private corner to retreat to, yet stepping out, they are greeted by the presence of their parents, the sound of laughter, and the warmth of shared moments.

Context and Design Solutions – In the face of rapid urbanization, narrow tube houses have become a prevalent choice for young families in Ho Chi Minh City. TiTi's House sits on a compact 50m² plot, posing a design challenge: how to optimize space while maintaining a sense of openness? The solution lies in an open-plan design, multifunctional furniture, and the strategic use of natural light and ventilation.

A four-story atrium acts as a vertical connector, bringing natural light and airflow throughout the home. It also strengthens the home's spatial connection, allowing sounds and scents to weave seamlessly across floors. From the common living space, one can hear the daughter playing the piano or the aroma of home-cooked meals rising from the kitchen below. Sunlight filters through carefully placed openings, and gentle breezes move effortlessly through the voids, creating a home that feels continuous, unrestricted, and fluid, where every individual finds both freedom and belonging.

Material and Color Palette – The material and color palette are intentionally restrained, retaining only the essentials. White walls serve as a backdrop, accented by gray ceilings, while warm wooden elements soften the space, complemented by small pockets of greenery. The minimalist approach extends to the furnishings, ensuring the home feels expansive rather than confined. Built-in cabinetry with slanted rooftops integrates seamlessly with the architecture, appearing as if they had always belonged. Storage-integrated beds enhance functionality, ensuring that despite their modest size, the home remains fully equipped and uncluttered.

TiTi's House is a testament to the idea that small spaces do not equate to constraint. Every material, every element plays a role in creating harmony, offering a gentle counterbalance to the fast-paced urban surroundings. Here, everything fits just right—nothing excessive, nothing lacking, nothing forced.
