Design blends the Mughal Revival elegance of the museum with the colonial character of Tollinton Market, transforming the site into a living cultural experience. The extension supports fluid spatial movement, guiding visitors through immersive exhibits enhanced with AR/VR.Curated galleries explore Lahore’s history, art, and culture, alongside interactive workshops, archives, and storytelling zones. It also features experimental studios, modern discussion spaces, and an auditorium for cultural performances, making it a vibrant hub of heritage and innovation.Sustainability is central, with passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, and eco-friendly materials preserving both heritage and environment.The design also protects two of Lahore’s oldest heritage trees, integrating them into the site’s identity. More than an expansion, this project fuses past and future, offering visitors a dynamic way to engage with Lahore’s rich narrative.
