In the core hinterland of Daliang Subdistrict, Shunde District, a 138,000 square meter of three-dimensional water town is breaking ground for a newborn - as the largest volume in South China, it is also the first TOD commercial complex in Shunde city. The staggered and dynamic open layout constructs Lingnan courtyards and skywells with different scenery, and the water town imagery of stream banks, fishing boats, boat canopies, mist and waves can be seen everywhere in the venue, which is skillfully reflected by light and shadow, giving visitors a confusing, real and imaginary symbiotic spatial perception. The reconstruction of Lingnan courtyard and water town culture here is a creative dialogue between local culture and contemporary design language.

Spatial Poetry: The Interwoven Imagery of Reality and PerceptionDrawing inspiration from classic Lingnan courtyard elements—"Three Chambers and Two Verandas," "Moonlight Mirrors in the Pool," and "Lingnan Oyster Shell Window"—the design captures the leisurely ambiance of water town life through scenes like " Rainplay on Boat Canopy," "Dynamic Sampan Oscillation," "Riverside Stroll-Scape," and "Neighborhood and Lane." The light-water embrace is evoked through motifs such as "Aquatic Light Refraction," " Hydro-Mist," " Light Bounced off the River," and " Moongarden Refraction."

From a deconstructivist perspective, contemporary design language reinterprets these motifs in forms like "Folding Courtyard," "Aerial Moon Gate," "Glow Around the Water," and "Vertical Alleyway." By integrating local cultural symbols—"Nanyue Palace Lantern" and "Red Sandstone"—along with community engagement, the space crafts a modern neighborhood narrative.

Core Concept: A Humanistic Experiment in Spatiotemporal FoldingThis is not only a shopping mall, but also a contemporary translation station of the water town culture. When the orbital flow pours into this "Three-Dimensional Water town", shopping malls become a journey back to Lingnan culture.

Consumption space is transformed into a humanistic theater, and the act of consumption becomes a ritual of social interaction, with each customer interpreting his or her own life script. Each carefully constructed fold of light and shadow tells the story of the local history and the city, a poetic and humanistic experiment about the evolution of the courtyard and Lingnan life.
