Coach station design

The long-distance bus station under design is a small bus station which is planned to build in Yongchuan District, Chongqing City. After construction, it will be a highway passenger transport hub between Yongchuan and the surrounding areas as well as the main cities, providing support for the original old station. Daily volume of bus dispatch is expected to be around 2,500 persons, belonging to the third level bus station. In the east of the site is an urban main road while the rest are secondary main roads. There are 10 seats for departure buses and 32 bus parking lots.

Through the investigation of the original old station, the bus station design presents the new characteristics of the modern small bus station, mainly including the aspects as follows:

1With the fast economic development, the square in the southeast as reserved room provides the possibility for reconstruction. It can be regarded as expansion land for station building or parking area in phase ii.

2Remeasure the proportion of the main parts and expand the proportion of parking lot and station square.

3Reserve space for taxi stop and deal with increasingly complex parking.

4Integration of the functions of station building with the office near the station building.

5Use of new materials-glass curtain wall makes the space bright and transparent.
