Thesis | Mapping Thresholds

By paying attention to the threshold, the relationship between two spaces is improved. Threshold is looked at in two ways in this elementary school: the building as a whole and as a series of different instances. The bridge between interior and exterior is just one of many conditions that is crucial to the circulation through the building. An elementary school in Los Angeles provides three different scales to address: the automobile, adult, and child.
