Phone Booth Redux

DMC, Digital Media Collaborative, is a student run club at the University of Oregon that uses digital tools and digital fabrication to create a project. Throughout the year we have researched kinetic structures, LED arrays, and parametric design. With these tools we planned to create a new iteration of the traditional phone booth. The new phone booth is designed to glow in response to audio levels of the user inside. Through my last school year at the University of Oregon, we created two mockups and completed the final build. The Parametric Phone booth is set to be in Lawrence Hall at the University of Oregon for the next 6 months (until November 2012) and possibly longer if it gets used fully.
