Rajdeep Ranawat’s elegant new flagship in New Delhi is an extension of his brand’s artistry
Rajdeep Ranawat teamed up with Nikita Jain of IndiHaus to revitalise his 1,300-square-foot store in New Delhi.

They say matches are made in heaven, but the professional alliance between courtier Rajdeep Ranawat and architect Nikita Jain, Principal Designer of IndiHaus, was forged in the heart of the national capital. Rajdeep's latest flagship store, spanning 1,300-square-feet in Lodhi Colony Market,
New Delhi
, beautifully exhibits his modern prints and vibrant jewel-box colours within a space meticulously designed by Nikita and her team. The theme seamlessly weaves Ranawat's extensive travels, particularly inspired by European architecture, into the contemporary
ethos
of his brand.
The fluid brass railing is the design’s focal point and serves as a unique element to display the clothes.

The store's colossal French

, extend a warm invitation, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a refreshing ambience filled with natural light and fresh air. The serenity of the space is enhanced by the subtle beige flooring, light-hued walls, and organic forms, including cornice details, bespoke furniture by Fragment Studio. A cluster of tables in teak wood polish of varied shapes and heights serve as jewellery display surfaces. The design's focal point is the ceiling-suspended sleek and fluid metal rails, brushed in brass, serving as both aesthetic anchors and showcases for Ranawat’s exquisite craftsmanship.

The reception desk with wood moulding toward the end of this minimally designed zone is an acute representation of the brand’s visual elements. A stunning bespoke wallpaper graces its backdrop, complemented by its coloured version adorning the desk, both meticulously crafted by Rajdeep. His attention to detail and designer sensibilities seamlessly transcend from fashion to surfaces and
home decor
. Adding to the visual allure, the delicately stacked
glass
sculpture sitting beside the desk is not just a piece of art but a conversation starter.

As you navigate through the store, you are seamlessly ushered to the next display, marked by beige and terracotta checkered flooring by Kasa Decor. Interestingly, these tiles were the first material to be shortlisted by Rajdeep, making it the overall design’s starting point. The mustard yellow curved seating infuses a dynamic flow into the space, adding a delightful burst of energy to its warm and welcoming ambience.
The architectural lighting is sourced from White Light Solutions and paint from Asian Paints.

The store is an eclectic mix of minimal and maximal.

The design and details of the doors and racks in this zone are reminiscent of Delhi’s
colonial architecture style
. This serves as a captivating contrast to the vibrant Indian festive clothing for children and men showcased in this area, encapsulating a nostalgic vintage theme. The trial rooms offer a luxurious experience, adorned with opulent curtains and scenic wallpapers directly sourced from Rajdeep's home decor range. The curtains are printed on both sides, seamlessly extending the essence of the wallpaper design inside the trial room while seamlessly blending with the exterior portrayal of bougainvillaea branches.

Elements from Rajdeep's home decor range prominently feature in various sections of the store. However, the flagship store has allocated a distinct zone exclusively dedicated to showcasing this exquisite collection. Massive French windows let in a soft glow of natural light that illuminates a desk with objets d'art. The space is fringed with a heavy wooden slatted
ceiling
beneath which open cupboards display the decor pieces—deftly blending classical with contemporary sensibilities. The wooden slats continue into a secret garden, a small area of peace and tranquillity.
The artefacts are sourced from RR Home and Sharma Farms.

The store is a manifestation of Rajdeep Ranawat's distinctive design aesthetics seamlessly intertwined with the inspiration drawn from his travel expeditions. Each section within the store exudes a unique ambiance and spirit, yet remains connected through a cohesive design language. Discussing her contributions to the store, Nikita articulates, “The amalgamation of European architectural aesthetics and Ranawat’s contemporary sensibilities is cleverly achieved by visually demarcating spaces in the store, with their varied material palettes and themes, layering the space and creating so much more with less.”
